Thanks for the recommendation, Toni!
Thanks for the information, Donna!
"Summer breathable, unlined underwire demi in my size/color are All Essential!"Thanks. Hopefully, I'll be able to wrap my head around the various bra styles soon.
"Some days I have to be brave just to go out in public. But yeah my wife is my biggest supporter. We walked into VS and found a clerk. Before I had a chance to say anything she says "She needs a bra fitting. Is that going to be a problem?" I'm like "wow, you go girl"." Your wife seems really cool, Robyn!
"For the record I wear sports bras with no wire and ones specifically designed to be worn as tops when training. These have the highest quality as they aren't meant to be hidden by clothes. I Have decent sized breasts(No point giving my size as its warped by my rib cage size) and they provide more then enough support. Also far more comfy then your typical push up bras."I usually wear a Champion Absolute Sports Bra. I don't know if it's designed to be worn as a top when training, but, when my breasts started growing, I think I read online somewhere that it's supposed to give you a good amount of support, so I bought a bunch of them, and forgot about bras and breasts until now.
"I have tender nerves in my neck/shoulders so can't handle wearing a sports bra all day - understand that most of these provide support via compression, and are only meant to be worn while working out. They also make encapsulation sports bras, which are more comfy."I'll look into encapsulation sports bras. My body isn't that sensitive (I only noticed my recent soreness because I'd smoked some marijuana), but it may be a good idea to keep my breasts smushed less often.
"I've bought a few 38As which I can't fill out yet - but some of the 38Bs do.
So much for logic. My boobs are fairly splayed out, with little in the way of projection - my size as determined by volume may be 38B. So I just wear camis, which usually don't do much in the way of providing support or masking nips but protect from itchy fabrics, at least. I think a thicker bralette might be up my alley, or I'll just have to constantly pad things out a bit. Transwomen's physiques tend towards less projection and wide roots - the way the flesh extends far back to the armpit area - what with our larger frames and lesser input of E, and genetic imprint."
I think I share the common transwoman issue of having splayed out breasts, so thanks for letting me know about camis and bralettes. I'll definitely look into them.
