Hi!  I just found this forum tonight -- well about 5:00 in the morning -- and really want to be a part of this place.  Very nice forum :D  I found this forum in my search for information on Evanesce & Feminol, two herbals that I ordered but likely will not bother to use.  For now my main focus is to find a physician and therapist in the Lexington, Kentucky area, so that I can get a handle on my issues with my gender.  I know that I am transgendered, but am wondering (fearing?) if I am really transsexual.  A very close second focus of mine is to find some other people like me in Kentucky.  I don't think that going to a bar to meet gay people is the right solution for me, and I need to get closer to this community than just writing emails and sitting in forums.  Anyway, I'm not nearly as pretty as some of the other girls here, and being married I may never be.  That's a whole 'nuther story, lol.  Please feel free to email me anytime you want, and to you horny men out there I am not going to email you my 'stats' :D  Hugs xoxo Samantha

Hi Samantha, welcome to Susan's. I don't recall encountering anyone from Kentucky on here but it is possible. There are many people using this board in Canada, US, UK, Australia etc. I am certain you will get to meat many people here that will answer any questions you may have. I pray that you find what you need.

Hi Samantha,

A gender therapist is a good place to start.  Also, don't let yourself forget that you have plenty of time, so there is no reason to bring anxiety upon yourself by feeling you must move too fast.

I'm 35 and losing my hair (a huge issue for me, obviously), so once I find a gender therapist here in Kentucky, I will feel more at ease.  I do need to find a therapist quick, though.  Nothing else will happen until then.

HI samantha I am from the bowling green ky I am 54  :)
ther is a suport group in just look for TransKentucky u can find ever thing ther

TransKentucky is a support, social, and resource group serving Lexington and the state of Kentucky as a whole. It is the mission of this group to provide a safe place for transgender individuals and people who feel they do not fit into the standard gender norms to express their true selves. Within the group, such individuals can socialize with others without fear of judgment and/or ridicule. While the group is not therapeutic in nature, there are many resources and individuals that can provide help with advice and insights from their own unique experiences. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend meetings to gain understanding and be supportive of their loved ones. We also welcome supportive community members who have an interest in issues arising due to gender presentation, identity, and variance. The group meets on the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 pm in Lexington, KY

let me know if you wont more info

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!  Kimmie, I did write twice to TransKentucky (pretty sure that's what it was) and heard nothing back.  I did ask the question in both emails if it would be inappropriate for me to bring my son.  Otherwise, I probably would not be able to attend the meetings.  He's only 21 months old and very curious about everything (of course, lol).  My wife would know I was going to the meetings, so it's not like I'm doing anything wrong or being sneaky.  If anything happened that I would not want my son exposed to, I would thank everyone and leave.  Today I wore a tight pair of bluejeans -- they look good on my butt -- and a pastel blue shirt that is velvety-like.  My nails have hardening polish on them, they look really shiny.  I feel very sexy :D  Great forum you all have here!

Hugs
