Hi, I hope this is the right place for this question.

I was told today that my T level has actually slightly increased since my last measure 3 months ago. I had been taking an estradiol patch and spiro. My endo really freaked me out though, suggesting taking Lupron was the equal of being chemically castrated... which, while I won't miss those things, still just sounds... awful. She also suggested I would not orgasm again once the med started working.

I'm older. I know what happenes, effects-wise, from hormone blockers. They make you less masculine, and with estrogen present, more feminine. Kewl, that's kinda what I signed up for here!

So, um... why was she so freaked out anyway?

Anybody take this and just totally lose all sex-powers?

I'm married to a woman, and want to stay that way. She has always known I was this way.

So... umm...??? Help?

Th doctor somewhat mislead you. Most likely you will still be able to orgasm, but it will be more difficult and you will need to take a feminine approach with a proper warm up in order to have an orgasm. Erections may or may not happen and if you have an erection, it's likely things will be a little softer than before. Check with the doctor but discontinuing Lupron should allow you to return to normal function if you decide you prefer it that way. I transition without any blockers as they didn't use them so my experience with this is somewhat limited. I needed a real castration to experience what life was like without testosterone and you couldn't pay me enough to go back on the stuff. I am comfortable with what my body produces naturally as my levels are mid range feminine.

I took Lupron for over a year. I was still able to masturbate etc while on it. I did cause me to have hot flashes a lot, but otherwise was pretty effective. I eventually stopped taking the medication though because of the inconvenience of coming in for shots every month and my endo stalls on switching doses at times. I was trying to get it set to 3 months and she was being very conservative. I'm actually taking Procur that I get from a outside source and my endo has been monitoring. I did notice some changes when I stopped taking the Lupron because the Lupron did indeed change my function some.

I was on Lupron for a bit, had spiro which rocketed my Potassium levels to unsafe levels. After 1 month on Spiro my T was nearly zero, did Lupron for 6 months and then stopped had almost zero T prior to GCS back in January. Everything mostly functioned, orgasms were WAY different and super intense, they still are post gcs. I liked the T suppression with no AA's best but your mileage may very. Good luck with it all.

Thanks all of you for that!  ;D I appreciate it. It was a wierd experience that shook me all day. I have liked this doctor since she was reccomended to me, but now I'm questioning some things. I'm not sure she understands more advanced English speech patterns so that might have led to some confusion between the two of us.

When she said the above, I was like "Now, hold on a minute... My understanding is that for women, like me, who have had the "little buddy" put in his/her proper place, that they orgasm pretty much just like any woman does. So why would this stop it all together prior to said inverting?

Of course I said it more conversationally, and so forth, but still! I'm thinking "What's the big deal? I thought I was already getting that anyway?"

LIKE I NEED MOAR ANXIETY RIGHT NOW! DANG IT WOMAN!

Really, thanks though.

I mean... where do I sign up??? I've been waiting on that for a lifetime. I've never done anything worthwhile with my "T" anyway.
