Introduction: Hello, I'm Gretchen.  I'm 49 and have been transitioning since October 2016.  I'm married and have four children.  My transition plan includes a scheduled FFS surgery in December of 2018 after which time I will start living full time as a woman.  My spouse has mixed feeling about my transition but is relatively supportive.  Currently working on coming out strategy for work, friends, and family.  I live in Portland Oregon so I have a pretty strong trans community for support. I work as an engineer and also teach as an adjunct professor at a very conservative Christian university. I also volunteer as a tutor at a community based high school that works predominately with GLBT youth.
