I've had FFS and GCS, and am looking for surgeons for BA and a face lift. I've been on HRT for 4 years.

This is my second time transitioning.  I started when I was in my mid-twenties, but an intersection of religion, ignorant therapist, and an overdeveloped sense of self-sacrifice led me to detransition.  That, and falling in love with someone who said they'd leave me if I didn't stop.

But I'm here now, late but happy!

I see that Danielle, one of our other lovely greeters, has already officially welcomed you (though you've been hanging out for a while) so I'll just add my welcome here. Thanks for writing your introduction. It's nice to see you joining in!

I can't imagine the strength of will it must have taken to detransition. Once I finally admitted the truth to myself, I wouldn't have been capable of it.

It hadn't occurred to me before that what we're doing is shapeshifting. What an appropriate and clever way to put it! It does beg the question, though: If what we're all doing is shapeshifting, does that make Susan's the Great Link?
