So I hit 9 months on Tuesday, here is my belated update.
First the photos, here are a couple. (I need to practice eyeliner more)
Standard disclaimer applies, I've always had wide hips. I am becoming a bit more "Reubenesque" than I really want to, but I understand that dissatisfaction with my appearance is part of the whole feminine experience.
So things have been going well with HR at my job. A few people at work know and they've all given me their support. When I first come out to the rest of my group they'll want me to use a bathroom on a different floor which I think is kind of BS, but I need to pick my battles.
I am also a member of a civic organization which has a lot of ties with the military (I'm one of 3 members who is not a veteran) I told the head of our unit, and he's being supportive as well. This makes me a little sad, had I known how well people were going to take this I would have done this 20 years ago. I know that that wouldn't have been possible back then, and even 2 years ago things would be a lot harder. But things have been pretty good.
