June is upon us, what are people doing for pride this year?

I'm attending mostly events by our local group madfemmepride starting with a mix/mingle/dance tonight (I work late and will have to arrive a bit late).

Next week I'll be going to the Dyke March Friday night and an after party (mfp again) and I'll be marching with mfp in the parade itself.

Anyone in the Boston / Camberville area, give a shout if you want to meet up for any of these or anything else.

This will be my first time going to the pride parade in PDX! I founded my company's local pride chapter in February and we were able to organize and get funding to be sponsored for the pride parade this year, which I'm really happy about!

I'm haven't really thought of what else I am doing other than this!

I will be attending my first Pride Day event in Astoria, OR, more like the weekend.
I'm traveling north with @Michelle_P  to the @Laurie abode.  Next day all three of us will go meet up with @Tessa James in Astoria.  I'm excited, I will be full time for at least 4 days.  A nice step for me!

Hugs and smiles, Jessica

The city that I am near is having it's Pride celebration next weekend.  I'm super excited to go!  There is a great concert on one of the days of the event that I just got a ticket for.  I'm really looking forward to the whole event!

With Love,
Noelle

Concord, California just raised the Rainbow Pride flag for the first time.

In a speech the mayor apologized for a local ballot prop from 35 years ago that would have implemented discriminatory practices against LGBTQ folks.

It was a good start for the month!

As Jessica mentioned She, Michelle and I are all going to attend the Astoria pride festivities this weekend June 8,9,10.
They have a facebook page that give information on the different events we will be attending. We will even walk in the River Walk parade (we will probably be conscripted to hold the rainbow banner). We will likely be dancing in the evening too. Most events are free.

@izzymacattack  Come on out to Astoria and join us.

Hugs,
   Laurie

Next weekend, I'll be going to Pride in the Park in Norwalk.  Its only my second Pride event, and I'm excited!  Even more so if my SO feels well enough to go!  *crosses fingers, toes and eyes* [emoji6]

Had planned to go see the B52s with my kids at Milwaukee Pridefest on June 10th ( my birthday!).  I work in the morning  Monday and it's a 2 hour drive home so not sure if it will work.  Lots of work to do at home also (moving soon).  Might still be able to make it work but the kids still want to go to Pridefest  sometime that weekend at least

Pride week is at the end of June where I live. I will probably attend to few parties and perhaps to few other happenings...but I don´t think that I will participate to the actual parade. I just don´t know what it is, that I should feel pride for?

Also, I want to see the organisations, which are attending, before going anywhere close to the parade.

We do pride in phx in April (because of the heat, and it was still quite hot that weekend) not sure what other stuff might be going on...

Happy Pride Month Y'all! <33

This will be my first, and I wasn't bigoted or anything toward the LGBTQ community before my transition, but I wasn't exactly active in supporting it, either.

I'm a bit terrified, but I think this will give me some good motivation to practice my voice(with people) and my makeup, and just really break out of my shell!

I'm going to attend the humble little festival in Central PA(I am very excited to see some Drag Queens in person!):
http://www.centralpapridefestival.com/

After how I acted at my Sephora class today, I can very much tell that I still lack confidence in RLEs. Many girls are far braver than I, I was the only one who showed up wearing a mask(which I quickly put in my pocket)
Looking to make and keep friends! Spreading the love, now that I can truly love myself!

A mask? It would have never occurred to me. I'm glad you went!

I am VERY glad I went, too, Tommi!

Yeah, I wear a medical mask out in public. Without knowing how to do my makeup and not being on HRT, it seemed like the only option for me because I just can't go back to wearing men clothes. And because of how my job works, now I basically can NEVER go back to wearing men clothes. lol

I recorded(got consent) the demonstration, and basically all of when I was applying my own makeup, too and I plan to upload it soon in my blog thread once I get caught up on a few things.

But I'm going to have to get really good at makeup I think, before I lose the mask completely.  Except for things like this Pride Festival, since it would be weird to wear a mask(especially for my reason of doing so) and I think that will help me, plus I can support our community and learn more about it, too!

Last year during pride, I wasn't fully out at work and not living full time yet. I had to work the weekend of the majority of pride events. (Texas) Panhandle Pride has many events over nearly two weeks. I won't get to paint the cars at Cadillac Ranch but I will get to go to the main Festival. I'm beyond excited!

I'm off to the Dyke March in an hour or so, kinda stuck on an outfit but I'm sure I'll cobble something together soon enough .. oh wait, I have a pink linen top that has to show cleavage👙 due to a lost button ... that's the one for tonight!
