Do breast buds show up first?

Hopefully easy question.

I started HRT about 1 month ago.  Haven't felt anything in the nipples.  My question is - am I likely to feel breast buds before breast tissue really starts to grow?

This is a bit embarassing, but I'm large enough that my male chest isn't perfectly flat as is.  Wanted to be aware so that it didn't sneak up on me,

Thanks,
Sara

Sara:  In my owHRT journey before breast buds started significantly and noticeably showing up I had nipple and breast sensitivity that if I bumped them or pressed on the too hard I would feel some discomfort, or pain if you well.
After a month or two I did start to feel small lumps under each nipple and as HRT progressed past that point they definitely started getting larger, and eventually later with larger nipples and areolas.  For over a year, one breast and the breast bud were quite a bit larger than the other, then after 2 or so years they seemed to mostly even out.
All of this is just my experience.   Every BODY will react differently and at different speeds to HRT.

The hrt starts working immediately and yes it is noticeable from the immediate start however the development takes time and it's random when there are spurts of development, and it's different for everyone, a person's genes and yes weight and diet and many other factors all play a role.

I felt a tingling in my nipples first, followed by sensitivity to any kind of impact.  Having anything as solid as a breast bud to feel took longer.

I think in my case I felt the first tingles at about three weeks.  YMMV.  At one month, it is certainly too early to be concerned.

I had buds at three weeks. Now, 26 months later, those buds have softened and are now heavy and nearly 6" wide. My areolas are twice in size/width and have very erect and pointy nipples. As always, YMMV....

@SaraDanielle ... just so you know, Here on the Forums as @KathyLauren  stated YMMV which stands for "Your Mileage May Vary"   which obviously means that every body reacts in it's own way and it's own time frame to HRT.
Some can see results faster and more significantly and for others the effects can be slower and less significant.   Patience is required with HRT expectations... usually things do not happen as quickly as we all want, and as our human nature tells us,
"We want it All and we want it Now"
Again... patience!!

I've been on estrogen for 3 weeks, I have very small nipples but they seem to be getting more sensitive. I like how it feels, it's good and can only get better.  Justine x
