Has anyone have any experience with the bovine ovary capsules, and if so any results or lack of? I am having my initial consultation, but have to wait almost a year to get in.

This comes up every few months. They are costly and relatively ineffective but are designed to take money from those who are really desperate. I am not sure why your first appointment is so far out if your located in the United States. If your in the UK, you might consider going private until the government takes over your care.

My suggestion is for you to save your money for something more important to your transition. If nothing else, consider facial hair removal as it takes forever and it's a big help in passing.

Dena pretty much covered it.  No, they are not really effective.  I spoke with my doctor about them and he told me he was actually familiar with them...he explained what they are reported to do and believes they may actually work to accomplish that, but then your body will simply cancel out their effects while balancing things back out.  The effects will be nil at best and expensive.

May I ask what region you live in?

Hi Jayne... forget those BO caps. I used them for 9 months with no results other then 9 months of time and some dollars wasted.

I did show my endo the BO caps and he laugh at it... telling me he knew of people using those as well as lots of other "stuff".

I am not saying you will absolutely get zero results, but honestly I don't think you ever will with just these.

Not sure those capsules are any good as I've never seen them, but I'm betting eating lots of soy and flax seed would be just as effective and way cheaper...
