Hey I'm new. My name's michael. I don't have a female name yet. Nor am I on hormones. I posted the fact I've castrated myself on another thread so I'm not talking about it in this one. I have an appointment with my primary care physicians July 2nd. I'm going to ask her for a referral to an endricologist. So hopefully I'm on hormones in the next month or two and it's not a very long wait. I should of been on hormones last year but I messed up big time trying to suicide. So the appointment was delayed because I was sent to a state hospital for a year. So hopefully I don't make the same mistake over and over again. But I'm in a non judgemental group home so I shouldn't worry about making the same mistake over again.

Hi Ogional,
Sounds like you have things moving in a positive direction. I am sorry to hear about your brush with suicide but not surprised, I know what gender misalignment can feel like and one can end up feeling like enough is enough.
I personally found starting hormones to be  very effective in reducing the angst, unease and dissatisfaction of not being female. As you probably know hormones take some getting used to as well especially after the 6 month mark when the emotional effects start to bite. It sounds cliche but working with a therapist as required really helps.
I had some self harm issues that totally stopped after living on estrogen.
I just want to wish you the very best,I think you now have a lot to look forward to.
Regards, Kirsten.

Hi Ogional

Glad to see you reaching out a bit. Many of us have had similar starts to our journey that you have described. Importantly we are all still here.
And we are here for you, especially as you get used to being a part of our community. I really hope that you get to know us, as we all have our own personal journeys where our experience of may be of help you sometime. Within the terms of service, no question, comment or revelation is out of bounds, but remember this is the InterWeb and everything is recorded somewhere.
I truly wish you every happiness in your journey, and for any hiccups and blockages, you may find that we have seen them before, and can possibly offer advice.
My own journey so far has had its ups and downs (I have a long way to go still) but I wouldn't change that for anything, overcoming issues is such a good feeling and gives us ownership of our current and future lives.

Love N Hugz

Katie
