Overall really happy with my results. Going in for some revisions next week, but I'm happy I went with a lesser known surgeon Definitely pleased! I was actually looking better a few days ago... The swelling in my cheeks went down a lot, and it's created a bit of a sunken cheek look. Hoping to get that fixed up with juvaderm or something.

I cheated.. I did ffs too.  Honestly you looked great before, you look even better now.  Very beautiful, very female.  And like she said too give it at least a year. You're going to look amazing   Took me about a year to fully heal and honestly my looks continue to improve myself.

Thanks guys! I'm hoping that's the case. I'm still really self conscious, and I've avoided going out much post surgery. I don't know how I'll be perceived, and I'm having a bit of post op depression. I didn't eat pretty much anything for a solid week, and so I'm also trying to eat enough now to get my nourishment back in check.

If I may ask, what changes did you notice in the year following surgery? I'm expecting my nose and jaw swelling to go down a bit (honestly, my jaw doesn't even really feel swollen, so idk).

Most of our issues are self created.  Inside your own head.   Go out, chin up, smile ready & armed... You got this girl!  Just mimic behaviors of girls your age around you you should be fine (within limits of course, you still want to be YOU on the inside, not completely fake.. as too many are).

The feeling on my forehead came back completely, I still have some numbness on my lower lip and my ears aren't quite 'right' as far as nerves go.   Swelling especially forehead diminished completely, jaw is within decent limits.  I didn't have as drastic FFS as many have, but I honestly think its a huge improvement nonetheless.

If I looked as pretty as you with just HRT, I wouldn't have even needed FFS 

You guys are the best. I have a bit of a confidence boost. I'm gonna try to go out today and just go to the grocery store. I'm too scared to do more than that.

Using makeup as well - I still don't know if I should use dark or light eyeshadow with my light complexion. I want to try to prevent the sunken in look, so I think I need to use lighter colors?

When trying makeup I would advice you to start with the basics, just foundation, mascara, lips and maybe eyeliner if you already know how to do it. Also avoid super strong colors while you master it and find your style.

Thanks Charlie! I bought some lip gloss that I'm in love with(I hate how lipstick looks on anyone). I've tried to stick with neutral colors.

Current routine is fair concealer, lip gloss (neutral pink), Chocolate bar eye shadow (currently using white chocolate and candied violet) - The violet color is probably the most daring I've ever been with my makeup, but it's a very light purple with small sparkles.

I believe he accepts insurance, however my insurance provider (Unit/Quartz) refuses to cover anything cosmetic. I paid for most everything (save for the after care medication) out of pocket.

I do highly recommend him. He trained under Spiegel.

I would try salted caramel, strawberry bon bon, champagne truffle, amaretto, and maybe hazelnut. I'm not an expert though, what little I know from makeup I've learnt by trial and error. On a day you're not planning to leave the house, you can use the bolder colors and see how you look and feel.
