I had the same thing happen. Don't know if that is normal or not but you are not alone in having pain with erection.

Use it or lose it. The skin needs to be stretched occasionally or it shrinks and erections become more painful. This the reason people who are considering bottom surgery occasionally stretch the skin so the surgeon has more material to work with and why we dilate after surgery.

Yes ouch... I can offer no better suggestion than what Dena has already said...Someone suggested to me that exercising it was supposed to be good prepping for GRS (don't know how true that is) but I am taking no chances.  ;)

Another reason for having pain with an erection can be an irritation of your pelvic muscle.
That can be caused due to stress, tucking, trauma.
I have a physical therapist specialized in the pelvic area who helps me with the relaxation of the pelvic muscle and that really helps.
Being able to relax the pelvic muscle is also great if you're considering GRS as it will make the dilate process easier.

I too am having pain with arousal. My libido drastically dropped at about 6 months of HRT. Sex, masturbation, everything stopped by the time a year rolled around.

Three months later I decided to relieve some stress only to discover that it caused excruciation pain. The pain I'm feeling isn't stretching skin pain. This pain is internal, most likely due to shrinkage of tunica albuginea. Even worse, the pain lasts for days, long after the erection is gone.

I'm reluctant to revisit this level of pain, but have several times hoping the pain will lessen. No such luck.

I'm so ready to be rid of this nuisance!

I replied to a similar post a few weeks ago. Someone mentioned Peyronie's disease, which very well may be the case. There was some curvature. But I did have an incident when I was about 22 years old.

I had a Thai girlfriend that was obsessed with the Kama Sutra. Long story short; Lotus position, something "popped", I screamed out loud, I cried. I never saw a doctor, but the pain subsided and was fine after a few days.

Either of these could have led to my current situation. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and bring it up during my next doctors appointment.

With lack of fullness the erectile structures seem to shrink. Then if I do get fully aroused, the erection hurts. For me it's not the skin it's the blood chambers. I'd rather just not have it at all.

Well after having  been educated  ....i went out and purchased  a bathmate hydro max
I had my doubts  and it was pricy but I don't want to lose useful tissue for the future
Well it works and very well just use it while showering ...dont have to be aroused or anything  ...just works....

Not sure? Ok well I googled your pump  8) and in context of this conversation, your question is, what method could I use that is cheaper than a hand held pump such as you propose...I might have said my method uses the same equipment as yours with the exception of the pump. LOL  ;D
