A bit of a necro, but I just wanted to say, people can change(as I'm sure you're all very aware of! lol)

I am still really anti-purse, but I'm getting warmed-up to the idea thanks to this hybrid purse/wristlet, and I only use it as a purse.

Wife found it at a Hot Topic in the outlets in Gettysburg and I just fell in love!

Looking to make and keep friends! Spreading the love, now that I can truly love myself!

I've been avoiding carrying a purse the whole time. Instead, I wear a cute little hippie fanny pack.

Since I started using a purse, I haven't lost a bill or misplaced my property deed.

I have not carried a wallet in my back pants pocket for almost 2 years...   it  is great having a purse or handbag... all the things we need can be put in there for safe keeping....  my bra is good for temporary storage of paper money and credit cards.....

...and just like @DawnOday stated:
"Since I started using a purse, I haven't lost a bill or misplaced my property deed."

I could never go back to not having a purse or handbag.... never!!!!
Hugs,
Danielle

cute little hippie fanny pack.

Five words that should never be used together. In fact, it was fine for the first three words...

A small backpack works for me. :0

+1

I HATE having anything in my pockets and always have. So, I have carried a small backpack for 45 years. In boy mode, sometimes people would comment on my "purse." "Yep," was always my response, "You should try it!"

Personally, I can't imagine being limited to only that which I can squeeze into my pockets...

I started with a small shoulder bag, progressed to a bigger shoulder bag then to the larger across the arm style and have gone further again and back to a cross body shoulder bag larger than the one I currently have. I really don't know how I did without it...mind you, having no pockets kind of forces you to start carry stuff and then you want your hands free, then suddenly there is a packet of tissues, then a hairbrush, then some hand sanitizer all suddenly appear at the bottom of your bag .......then its full again and I can't find anything in a hurry. So I guess in answer to your question. No, I have no problems getting used to a purse LOL ;D

The only problem I have with my hand bags, purses and pocket books is that they always catch on my long hair. Then there is also the problem of where to store them at home because I have several different colors and styles to go with my different outfits. Yeah, I'm a girly girl! LOL

Ummm. Do the words, "First World Problems" ever come to your mind?

I think I would love to have your problems with purses...  ;D

Margaret. You got me as Sig Sauer. Of course, what else would you accessorize with? How is Nanci doing. I have an appointment with her next week. I hope she is finding some relief.

I haven't started transitioning, and currently I wear cargo shorts despite all the recent ridicule those have started getting. I feel like I won't have much trouble getting used to carrying a bag, considering I already know I could use the space. I'll probably have a basic little canvas thing or whatever. I'm well in touch with my feminine side, and it's a pretty trashy little thing. As long as I can put pins on my bag and money inside it, I'll be happy.

I have a small, plain cross-body bag I have used a few times.  It is surprising how significant a gender marker it is.  It definitely makes me put my big girl pants on. Helps a bit to kind of flip it to the back so the strap is all that you really see initially. Surprisingly, I have discovered I should have gotten a bigger bag.  If I put my glasses in it, they swallow it up like shoes do a suitcase.  But compared to pockets, it's quite roomy.
