Is 17" too wide? I'm 16.5" I've asked this before but thing I measured my sen wrong. What's the average 5'7 or 5'8 woman's shoulders??

Would you mind sharing how your 17" measurement was taken?

(Frame size)
Measuring the width of the bones in elbow joint
Small
Medium
Large

If you cant walk through a door without turning sideways, your shoulders are probably too wide.

It was just done with a tape measure, shoulder to shoulder.

You'll be fine, that is far from wide.

I think women are built in different shapes and sizes, so as long as you dont have the shoulders of a football player you should be fine

Just measured myself against a wall with a straight edge along the other shoulder.  I measure a smidgen under 16.5" and I'm a tiny bit under 5'7" tall.  Interestingly I'm the same shoulder width as my wife who is only about an inch or less shorter than me.

Also, where are you from?  I only ask as you said you measured your 'sen' wrong. That sounds very similar to what we say round these parts (Stoke, UK).
