I starting thinking very seriously about transitioning while I was in college when I was in my 20's.   I always had a very slight build, no bulk, no muscle, only 5'4" or perhaps 5'5" if I fluffed up my longish blonde hair... I had a soft girly looking face and a voice to match.  That made be the subject of crude and mean jokes and endless pranks from all of my male classmates, especially in gym class... and also some not so nice comments from some of the girls too.

All of that, the way I looked and sounded worked in my favor when I started to transition in my early 30's...  I found that I could pass fairly well even before I started HRT in March of 2015 when had just turned 35.  The HRT did it's Magic and a little more that a year and a half later I went full-time.  It has been an exciting ride for sure...

So encouraging to hear! I have always been told I have a girls butt and legs already... My face is decent as far as passing already. I cant post a picture yet but will as soon as it allows me. I just hope the T hasn't done too much damage yet!!!!

I had my first appointment with my gender therapist on my 30th birthday (not intentionally, that's just when he had an appointment available), so I guess I technically started in my 30s, but I had been seriously thinking about it for ten years prior.

If you want to transition, being in yours 30s doesn't really seem to be a hindrance.  There's certainly nothing wrong with transitioning at a younger or older age, but it's a good balance in your 30s, in my very biased opinion.

I was the exact opposite when I started my transition at 35; I was 6 ft. tall (I still am), extremely muscular weighing ~ 220 lbs. with ~ 6% body fat, close cropped hair, a Clingon- forehead, chiseled jaw, and a very deep voice. And 20 years later with 13 consecutive years of HRT, full FFS, muscle atrophy (my weight is ~ 168 lbs.), Breast Augmentation, being very fortunate to have great hair, and a lot of voice work; I'm happy with what I have accomplished, and I'm happy being me.😊

The voice training seems like such an impossible task! I am very terrified and overwhelmed at the thought of it!

Thanks for the compliment😊
My skin started changing within several months after starting HRT; breast development started within the first month with a lot of tenderness. Voice training is challenging, but it is doable, it just takes a lot of practice, patience, and determination.

Did you see a coach? seems daunting to learn all by oneself!

My skin started pretty soon after starting HRT, within a month or two.

As for voice, a coach is a huge help especially at first.

I hope my skin starts to change quickly upon starting HRT... I will go the coach route I think.

Awe thanks everyone! I hope HRT will help with the rest! It's rough trying to learn to be a woman with all the hair and makeup skills and also mannerisms and walking and such...especially after being a guy for 33 years trying to be as masculine as possible... people even my male family members always said things like you got a little sugar in your tank or you need to be around more men... I guess that kind of were subtle signs that I was a bit different.
