I find I'm transitioning fast and my hair is really holding me back. Its about 5" long on top and 4" in back (I had a normal fade guy hair cut last november and haven't done anything to it since). Can you get them at a hair salon where they stay in and you can wash them with your normal hair? Are they expensive? I tried a wig but it's too hot for that and I don't like the way they look. I look better with my real hair just put back. It's almost long enough to tie but needs another inch or two. I really don't want to get it cut into a short girls hair cut because I want hair down to my elbows ultimately.

I know they growing your hair long is very texting and trying because it seems to take forever and not cutting your hair since November I understand that too I have heard that if you get just a trim every now and then like once a month once every two months something like that it's supposed to help your hair grow faster and that's just the split ends not like a full haircut as far as the extensions go I'm not sure how long but I think what I heard is long enough that they can weave the extension into your natural hair

When I went out to the club I had short hair with extensions but my friend helped me put it in (it was clips - never used glue) and I took them out when we got back. I don't know about maintenance of extensions - but mine have last so far. Some "hair" has fallen out but all in all they are still together. I think to have the synthetic ones last for as long as possible you should probably take it out when you are home and wash it carefully in the sink.

You should check out the clip in extensions from Amazon they are inexpensive which makes them disposable and you can try different styles to see what you like without spending a lot of money.

I don't mind spending money as long as it looks good. I would rather spend the money for something that lasts. Also I don't want to have to take them out and put them in everyday.

It's a myth that cutting your hair makes it grow faster. It just looks like it's growing faster because when its short you notice the difference. Your hair follicles have no idea whats going on at the other end of the follicle; hair is dead protein.
