So iv moved in with my bf, which may seem hasty to some but the place I was living in before was toxic and abusive (Both physically and mentall) for being gay let alone trans. Im finally able to present myself as female and be happy but iv come across a hurdle that I need help with.

My bf has kids...

They truly believe im female (Thank god, I dont think im passable but hey) but im terrified if they see me without my inserts or if I get facial hair coming in (I get it very light, literally like a pre-pubescent mustache and 1 chin hair)...

so im stuck between choosing to tell them im trans, or trying to come up with a believable lie such as a condition where I have very low estrogen (hence wearing inserts and shaving time to time)

Any advice would be appreciated... idk what to do x.x;

Hi Azirial,

If it were me, and the kids are fairly young, I'd probably just give a very generic 'hormone issues' explanation and leave the exact details till they're older.  Plenty of cis women have naturally small breasts, and some have varying levels of facial hair due to medical issues (PCOS being the first one that comes to mind).  I wouldn't claim a specific issue that I didn't have, just tell them the minimum to satisfy their curiosity if they ask about it.

Regardless of what you decide though, this is something you should discuss with your boyfriend and try to reach an agreement on how to approach it before you discuss with the kids.  Maybe he has a strong preference on what to do, or would want to be the one to tell them?  You won't know unless you discuss it.
