Ive been researching progesterone for a while now and I think I want to include it with my HRT mainly for the significant fat redistribution I desparately want but theres one thing I don't want at all that progestertone gives and that is the increase in libido which I have massive dysphoria with. Is it a given with progesterone? Should I take it?

Not in my experience. I haven't seen anything like that. It did take a little to get used to, giving me a weird kind of dizziness or "high" for maybe a week.

But did you have a high libido in the first place? Or did you start hormones, your libido went down and progesterone didn't bring it back up again?

The second. I think it was the spiro/Finasteride that made the biggest change, in retrospect, on my libido. I actually want to improve my libido, but progesterone doesn't seem to affect it, for me. Of course, everyone responds differently... I've stopped the spiro/fina and am hoping it will help.

Some people say I'm apathetic, but I don't care.

Progesterone did increase mine noticeably, but really only from almost nothing to the point, I found it manageable and desired. So in no way did mine return to the old levels or even the old sort of libido I experienced. You can work with your doctor on the right mix of dosages and balance the effects if that happens to you.

My libido has always been high, but once I started on progesterone it became even higher. I also feel slightly like I'm drunk after about an hour from taking it, and it lasts 1-2 hours (also tired).  I think everyone experiences these things different.

This what i'm terrified of. I truly wouldn't be able to handle that.

How long have you been taking it? That slightly drunk feeling only lasted a week or two for me, then got much better. I wasn't ready for it, and it kinda freaked me out at first.
