Make Your Voice Heard at LGBT Equality & Justice Day!

On Tuesday, April 29, 2008 join hundreds of New Yorkers who will be
traveling to Albany to help win transgender non-discrimination
protections http://www.transgenderlegal.org/headline_show.php?id=19
, safe schools for LGBT youth, marriage equality and more funding for
our community's health and human services needs.

Last year more than 1100 people traveled from all across New York to
make sure that our elected officials in Albany saw first hand the
power and determination of our community and our allies. This year
will be even bigger. Be a part of this historic day.

Don't worry if you've never lobbied a legislator. Our partners at the
Empire State Pride Agenda http://www.prideagenda.org/ will provide
you with the training you need. You can even get started now by
watching these training videos (video 1
, video 2
)! For some of you, going
to Albany means that you have to take a day off from work, and that
isn't always easy. But we won't win this civil rights struggle unless
we all come together at critical moments to show our community's
strength.

You can find out everything you need to know about LGBT Equality &
Justice Day - including information about registration, scholarships,
and transportation - here
http://www.transgenderlegal.org/headline_show.php?id=26 . The
deadline to register for LGBT Equality & Justice Day is Friday, April
11, 2008. If you're planning to attend, please let us know.

LGBT Equality & Justice Day is a great chance to make a difference in
support of equal rights. Be a part of it!
