There is a Castro who is fighting to introduce radical changes in Cuba.

Not the new president, Raul, although he has promised to push through "structural and conceptual" changes to this communist island in the Caribbean.

It is Raul's daughter, Mariela Castro.

Hmmm. If Mariela does get free transition through under the Cuban health system, I might just have to get on a boat. I mean, we have Cuban doctors training people in South African hospitals, and they are regarded as amongst the best in the developing world. Hmmmm. Wonder if I could get a cultural exchange visa... ;D

'Castro champions gay rights in Cuba,' says a headline in the BBC News website. No, it's neither Fidel nor Raul, but Raul's daughter, Mariela Castro, head of the National Center for Sex Education.

Viva la Revolución! ;)

That is amazing, here's hoping it becomes actual legislation. Reinaldo Arenas would be happy to see this shift finally happening :)
