Mass. governor backs transgender rights bill

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick announced his support earlier this month for transgender rights bill, according to a report from The Boston Globe.

According to the March 5 story, the bill would make it illegal to discriminate against transgender persons by adding the terms "gender identity and gender expression" to existing antidiscrimination and hate crime laws.
