After the lunch in the private room, we can restire to the public space at the venue for the afternoon.

I'm unfamiliar with Birmingham,  but it seems the Gay clubs are not far for those who fancy a fun and likely safe night.

As already noted I am booked into the Premier Inn for Saturday night so would love to go out with any of the crew who are coming to Birmingham.

Looks like there is a few of us in Premier. Got a posh frock for night time!!!! PARTY ON

OK well I haven been out partying at all, so example pics of posh frocks would help (remember im 55 and have no figure) - I don't want to turn up in an old potato sac etc... Also what are we doing exactly - Pubs and meal, or pubs and club, or pubs meal and club (no particular order). Don't want to be too organised but has anyone any idea of good places to go. Sorry I need to set my 'head' scene a bit..
And as I cant dance for toffee,  flats possibly but if we go club what will they want? I haven't been to a club for 30 years..... (->-bleeped-<- that's so sad... )

Personally I'll be in smart casual during the day, then might pop back to my hotel and do a quick change for the evening.

I don't have an LBD, so this might be a good excuse to invest in one - can't go wrong with that... or can I? [emoji23]

OK im off down Army and General for a camp tent - I can stich my head through the pole hole - no seriously what is cash and evening for you guys.... I have no contact other than professional with the female gender (and a few TG of course - wife was really stifled my my previous self.. not proud of that..) but I'm way behind and I don't want to let myself and you all down. Post random pics if you can (Not skinny models as I am not like that)

Hi Katie - try not to worry too much.  I'm in the same boat as you - I've never been out socially like this so it's going to be a bit of an adventure.  I'll have your back though - I'm sure we'll have a really good evening ☺️

I'm going to do the same as Megan - I'll be in jeans and a smart casual top during the day then probably change in to something a bit more dressy for the evening (probably a maxi dress or smart trousers and a blouse).  My left foot doesn't flex properly since a skiing accident so I'll most likely be in some sort of flats

I'm not typically one for clubbing,  and have never 'partied' as Megan, so it'll be a first for me too.

I don't want to dictate how the whole day runs, and I'm not a tour guide. If people want to dance the night away in a club that's an option, but so is finding a nice bar and enjoying some good music and cocktails.

OK thanks ladies, that sounds good, lets see what Kendra gets us doing... as long as she isn't in Birmingham Alabama.. as long as I can get back to hotel room (on my own maybe) and there aren't too many incriminating photo's then I am up for anything - have limited cash though so will look at club costs but I suppose a good meal and drinks before and after are like £50 - that $5000 to the yanks and that means their first round of drinks... or two...

(Pleading poverty.. lol)

I phoned up the venue and reconfirmed our booking - All good!

As we are currently 15 attendees, the venue need food pre-orders, starter (if you want one) and main.

OMG these dishes all look so good, but just getting into keto state with my low carb diet...
I will forget the bank balance for this weekend and just enjoy I think, Need to know are we camping at a good bar or club or what? Any recommendations from anyone? From what I hear  obviously we still have to be careful.. God forbid but Im so looking forward to this and I still have nothing to wear... and Im not coming in the buff.... too gross... lol..
Pics of dresses anyone is thinking of wearing would be useful as its a first night away for me...as me...

I'll be meeting a friend for dinner then coming out afterwards. I don't know Birmingham well but if the gay village is anything like Manchester's they'll be very accepting regardless.

However, if a few people are slightly nervous my experience is to find somewhere you know will be good and safe, and only move on if and when everyone is ready and comfortable. The Equator bar has a trans night a couple of times a month, and normally thats a good indicator of a very trans safe bar even when its not the trans night.

Equator is mentioned as trans popular, but some of the others look good as well.

managed to print it off (at work) looks good and picked out my chose already 

I contacted the local trans support group, they also recommended the Equator Bar, so we can have that as a good potential location if/when we move on from the Lost & Found.
