I was hoping that someone may be able to give me some advice.

I had an orchiectomy a few months ago and have a consultation with the surgeon who's going to perform my vaginoplasty coming up. My concern is that I work full time 6-2  5 days per week and it's my understanding that I will have to dilate 3 or 4 times per day for the first 6 months and that this must be done while lying on my back.

I will be taking off work for approximately 6 weeks and on a desk job for the following few months. I won't be able to lay down on my back to dilate during the 8 hours that I am at work and was wondering what those of you facing the same issue did about it?  My plan is to dilate before work around 4:30 am, after work at 2:30 pm and before bed, around 8 pm but the issue is what do I do if I'm told to dilate 4 times a day or more? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It's probably best to discuss this with your doctor as dilation requirements vary from surgeon to surgeon. It's possible after 6 weeks you would be permitted to cut back to three sessions a day. Mostly dilation is whatever it takes to preserve the surgery and that varies form person to person.

If depth is a concern for you. Well, suggest to stick to doc advice.
No one can possibly advise even the doc as human body recovery adapts differently.
My doc mentioned can adjust the schedule from 3 to 2 but longer session to make up for the reduced session but it seem to be difficult to reach acquire depth due to the longer GAP in between the session. Depth once lost for a period of time, I believe is near impossible to recover back.

It definitely depends on the doc.  I was doing 4 times a day for the first 3 weeks but then it was down to 3 times a day for the next three.  It made it easy to do a morning session, a session after work, and a before bed session.

I asked my doctor if longer sessions would make up for a skipped session and the answer for me was a flat 'no.' In the very beginning I had to do 5 times a day. That was fun!

Well I Guess every doc opinion is different.
I was under Chettawut thou. However one comment that he mentioned spark a query.
One intercourse will offset a dilation, hmm supposedly my depth is 6' and my partner is 5' will that not considered as not reaching the required depth for dilation? Long run wise, will my depth be compromised to 5'?

From what you say if you don't want to loose your 6" you should continue dilation even if you have sexual intercourse.
