Well, I am back after not taking my meds for awhile to passify my wife-didn't work and she is on board now. I have been able to face the music so to speak and am back on meds -happily taking them with everybody's permission. So life is calmer than before and I can concentrate as I need to. Thanks for allowing me to hang around!

Welcome ... again .. :)

Sometimes the only way forward is by going a little bit backwards. Nice to see that you're moving forward again, with everyone on board with you.
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

For some time I tried just to understand it-couldn't. Then I found that I was able to accept it and now I'm not so afraid of saying I'm trans. At 62 I'm getting to be ok with being a bit more feminine than I was! What I have trouble with is how I think about guys now. I like the way they smell! I see more of the silly crap they do-but it's ok. And I like wearing my hair tied up in a bun.

Yes I'm still a mess-but I'm happy.

Well, it sounds like that you are getting a starting grip on your possible transisiton plans....  yes indeed, fixing up your hair in feminine styles and presenting more and more as a female indicates to me that you are processing all of this and you are wrapping your mind around all of the possibilities.

Please keep us all updated, and remember, there is a wealth of information here on Susan's Place and lots of members here that can offer their thoughts and suggestions based on what you share on your posts.

Wishing you well, and thanks for posting your thoughts.

Thanks it is good to be back! My wife and I regard each other as the partnership that gives the most benefit to us both long term so we are both making adjustments to our routines-and it seems to be helping. We talk alot more now but girls do that! I can talk to her now about hair, nails, exercise, how I feel about things (has changed alot), Clothes!! I love pinterest and have learned alot there. I think it annoys her sometimes when I remark about the clothes the weather lady has on today but she will come and look anyway. I rarely wear guy-clothes anymore but they don't fit me anyway. I like leggings and a big tshirt on most days. I have started adding yoga to my workouts about 45 minutes-makes a big difference for me in general.

Anyway, I helped a delivery guy unload 2 pallets of porcelain tile and stone for major remodel at our house-tentatively set to start on the 22nd of this month. Hopefully it will upgrade our house in $$$ quite a bit! That will make high end improvements everywhere in this house-at least in the floors, both baths, kitchen, and laundry. I can't wait till that part is over! Then if we decide to sell-we shall see. we both are stable personality-wise and think alike much of the time so we get along great-like alpha wolves and we can work together well. So we stay together and learn more about each other-even after we get old. It's kinda cool sometimes and we do watch sappy movies together and both of us tear up-every time! But we laugh much easier than previously and I like that!

re Faith: yes I have done the backwards thing more times than I care to recall but now my wife and I both get it and realize this is not gonna change or just go away. Therapy gave me the most immediate relief but meds put me where I need to be and help me stay focused and in control but not anxious.

re Alaskan Danielle: It turned out to be alot more work to look good than I tho't but sometimes I just do it without giving my presentation much effort! I still have yet to try makeup but I have watched and rewatched many videos on highlighting and foundation. I'll get there! My next trick is finding jeans that fit LOL. I have had shapely hips for many years and legs like any girl so girl's jeans it is. I have asked my wife for help with it so she can have input on how I look.

re V M: I'm glad to see you are still here! Thanks for all the nice things you've said to me while I've been here and I look forward to talking to you alot more! So very far we have come from where we were with still further yet to go! Luvya!

Hey!

It's okay to stop for a while. It's matter if you can still move forward and it's cool that you can :) I think we didn't met before, but still glad to see you and welcome you back :)

Thanks Alice V-I stopped taking the meds just to show how I'm different when I don't have them. It feels so good to back on them! Now I'm not nearly as afraid to go out like I want to as compared to how I was just last year.

I've seen the question as to whether we are doing our presentation in public correctly or not. We all ask it if we go out at all. You know you are getting it right when CIS folks start calling you by the 'right' pronouns. For me that is Miss, Mam, Lady, Sweetie, or something else like that. Yesterday I was with my wife and our waitress calls us 'Ladies' and went on to call me Mam-making me very happy! It really makes me happy for strangers to address me that way.

Then later my wife tells me I look like a lady in a movie we just watched with my hair tied up on top-oh yeah it makes me SO happy to know I can get it right and not even try! My word for the day is -  Validation.
