I'm glad you shared this. On another website a trans activist highlighted the recent administration's possible change to HHS policies redefining gender, and my response to other readers was "If this doesn't make you want to vote, then what will?"
I voted yesterday, the first day of early voting in Texas. Usually the line is short - I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 15 minutes to sign in. Yesterday I was surprised and VERY pleased to see a really long line waiting to vote. On the FIRST DAY! It took me 2 hours to get through the line, and when I left the line was even longer than it was when I first got in it.
Folks, the struggle is real. Vote like your life depends on it, because it very well may be that case.
