Hi everyone! My name is Lacy.

I have been reading the forums here for a couple years and have used the wealth of information and encouragement everyone gives each other to help me through the beginning stages of my transition. So thank you to everyone! You are helping more people than you know!

I am 29, married and have 3 children. I live in Iowa and have been pleasantly surprised at how supportive the state is of transgender people.

I came out to my wife as transgender twice. The first time was about 3.5 years ago (The reason I had to come out again is a bit of a long story, that I will have to share at a later time).
I told my wife a year ago that I was going to begin pursuing therapy to talk with someone about my dysphoria. It has been extremely helpful and literally life saving.

I am going to begin HRT and FF next Tuesday! I am very excited yet am also starting to feel terrified.

As I mentioned I would like to start a thread to share my story with you all, as there is no real substitute for talking with other people who are going through the same things in life.

I look forward to meeting you all and getting to share our experiences together.
