I have that same overspending issue whenever I go to Victoria's Secret and just because you actually get fitted at a place doesn't mean you actually need to buy stuff from that place but I love the fabric that Victoria's Secret uses it is so comfortable so I can understand what you're talking about with the bridal shop and buying expensive overpriced stuff from them because it's good quality

I made the rookie mistake when first buying - of buying a black lace bra and a white lace bra - they look great by themselves except they are lace - meaning what you wear on top of them can become dimpled, obvious and awkward looking - this is why t-shirt bras were invented - smooth cups that make your shirt/blouse sit smoothly on top.

Yes I could buy them on the net BUT this is part of the female experience! - I'm not bothered by the staff, just worried I might bump into someone I know - but you find you have to make a choice - pleasing other people or pleasing yourself - I decided I needed this for me!!

Thank you for your encouraging words about shopping without worrying about others.  I have shopped in public before, but not without being as scared as a mouse at a cat convention!  Several times I shopped I either chickened out or I picked out a few items in a hurry.  I have also had a time or two where I pushed my fear aside and allowed myself to shop without letting strangers control me, but not without being very nervous about it.  Perhaps someday when I am further into my transition I won't be quite so nervous, but until then fear is a very real thing for me.  I need that reminder to not worry about living up to others' expectations and instead live for me.

I am aware of the Pink tax and have issues with the trans tax. Everything seems to be expensive. Special corsets and everything.

I can completely agree with you on that but I think I will continue with my Walmart and Victoria's Secret and then a few other choice places

I am very lucky that my younger (34 years old) female friend decided that she will see me through to become a good looking older woman (she want's me to be her ersatz mother).  She died my bra measuring, and had some of her bras ready for me to try.  My problem is my rather wide chest, and even though I have ok little breasts, they sit so far apart from each other that it seems to be impossible to ever create something resembling cleavage.
another problem I have is that my lower pair of ribs are standing out  to the front from the rest of my rib cage, and thus creating almost something like a mini bust.  I wonder if one could train them to move more toward the inside.
I would not want to wear a corset her in SW Florida, because that would be something like my private sauna!

It just is not easy to become that beautiful, daring looking woman!  Looking like an old hag seems to be way easier!

I might go to them for bras but I'm still going to hit up Victoria's Secret for my panties because you can get 5 pairs for 25 bucks sometimes buy 3 get 3 free
