A few months ago one of my co-workers told me she was questioning her gender.  Without admitting that I was trans I told her that I was seeing a gender therapist and suggested that she do the same.  Later that night I posted on the forum that I sort of came out to a co-worker, and not long after that I came out to a transgender friend of mine.  Well, tonight that same co-worker began talking to me and we chatted about LGBTQ issues and civil rights.  This topic turned to our own lives as transgender people.  Even though I didn't outright come out a few months ago, it was implied.  Tonight, however, I stated that I'm transgender.  She already knew that from my "sort of" coming out, but still it felt empowering to come out to someone.  As of now I'm out to two people - and they're both trans!  It feels good to be out to someone who understands what I'm going through; we can lean on each other and share things that we can't share with just anyone.  No, I'm not out to the world yet, but wow, it feels good to be out to someone - two someones!!!

I have a favourite sub shop near my house. I was pretty sure one of the girls working there was transgender, but never said a word. I was very open with all the staff there about my transition, and one day I stopped in for my usual, a steak and cheese sub. She asked how I was doing, and I said "Great, I went to the full dose of hormones on Monday!" She reached out for my hand and said "You're going to love it, I've been on full dose for a year and a half."  :)

It is nice being able to share with someone.

I think you admitted it right there.   ;)
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Started HRT April 17, 2019.

Indeed I did.  Judging by what she said last night, she took my saying I was in gender therapy as my coming out trans.  I just didn't explicitly state that I'm transgender until last night.  And I feel great about it!  The secret is a little less heavy now.
