I'm Amber, and new to the site. I'm a MtF crossdresser kind of struggling with my gender identity. 59 years old, married, and living in South Texas. As time goes by, I'm feeling more and more fem than masc. I'm still mostly closeted but starting to comeout little by little. Happened across this sitle while I was searching for something else. I woulld love to find some friends to share stories and ideas.

Hey Amber

Welcome to Susan's, Glad you found us. Its a pretty great place with lots of great information but better than that we have lots and I mean lots of great people. I have no doubt you are going to find yourself some friends...I certainly have.

Someone will drop by and give you the dishes roster and who's turn it is to wash the tea towels but you are pretty much good to go... I live in Australia but the US gals will be along soon.

Take care

Liz

Hi Amber! As Liz promised, here I am to officially welcome you to Susan's Place. You've found the best, friendliest place to hang out and figure out where you are and where you're going.

I started transitioning at 58 and just turned 60. It's been a wild ride but so worth it. The help available here from those who've been there and done that will let you figure out what you want to do and how you want to do it. My friends here have been invaluable to me as I figured myself out.

So, as an official greeter, I have the honor of introducing you to our guidelines. They explain your privileges and obligations here, and also explain when you can do things like send personal messages and post an avatar. Those rules are why Susan's is such a friendly, safe place to be.

Again, welcome! See you around the forums!

Stephanie

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hello Amber, Nice to meet you. I have a similar background as you.  I crossdressed off and on my entire life. This past year or so, I have began my path of transition.  I have found it has helped me deal with my feelings of incongruence in my life.  I am also looking for friends to share ideas, stories and support.  Thanks for sharing your story.  I look forward to hearing more.
