Hi,

I came looking for a place like this to share my problem in the hope someone recognizes this complication.
I had SRS surgery on June 2nd by dr. Buncamper in Amsterdam.
After about two months I started to feel an annoying pressure around the clitoris while walking. Also the tissues on left and right feel very tight. This pain only increased during the 3 months after that until now. I had several treatments for hypergranulation because the medical staf thought that might be the cause, but it didn't have any effect.
I'm already now at home for 5 months due to this. At the moment my doctors can't explain it and want me to send me to the somatic pain clinic.

Hope someone here had the same issue and hopefully it was solved in some way

Megan.

Joyce, welcome.

Sorry to hear about the issue you're having, I'm still pre-op for now, so can't offer any help, but hopefully someone here can.

Good luck. X

Did hey made sure that you do not have any underlying infection?

Do you live in the Netherlands? Probably the best thing to do is talk to your SRS doctor in Amsterdam. He/She can tell you if it is normal and if not they can take a look and advise you.

I've been back to the hospital already several times for this complication. They also tried a corticosteroid injection but that didn't improve anything

Cortisone will never heal anything, it just covers many inflammation related pains and allows the system to heal.  I really don't know what they were thinking it would do for your case?
If they cannot find the source of your pain, they cannot tackle it.  Everything else is just covering the pain!

How long has it been since your op? Are you dilating regularly like 2- 3 times i day? after i had SRS if i missed a dilation session I felt really tight and uncomfortable down there. maybe try and dilate for longer.

After my op it was ok for like 3-4 months, after then it got really difficult due to scar healing and really painful but you just have to keep on going. weird pain and sensations are part of the healing process. for me everything down there didn't feel "right" for like 9 months to a year after my SRS

Dilation is not a problem at all, and I must say I'm very happy with the set I bought at soulsource.com.
It's the lower layers of connective tissue which feel very tight and maybe is causing the pain in the middle around the clitoris. One advice was to massage this area, and I'm thinking of asking the person I go to once in a while for my back to help me with that.

Thanks for the replies. I have an appointment with Buncamper on Monday and will talk about a possible infection. In the mean time I switched from paracetamol to diclofenac, which seems make it to a bit more bearable

Make sure that you control your temperature at least twice a day.  Some infections can go bunkers once the bacterial colony has grown enough!

I have similar "tight" feeling and I´m 5 month post-op from PAI. However, the tight feeling was there from the start and it has faded a lot since from day 1. I think it has something to do with tissues healing and connecting together and everything just trying to adjust to new settings so to speak.

At first I was afraid that I was left too much erectile tissue, and yes that might be the cause, but it really doesn´t feel like that. It is different, tight, is the word and yes it is around clitoris.

Give it still some time, because I have steadily been getting better and better.

Thanks Mendi,

Did you try massaging the tissue? That was one of the suggestions I got
I ordered this which may help with the lower layers

But I think for me the tight feeling is a minor issue I can handle, the very painful spot is something that need to be solved. But maybe they are related

You doctor would have the best advise on the issue.

Perhaps there is scar tissue that contracted. You may need to have the cause corrected with a procedure.
