Where do I find more information about this? Many transgender people I have met have autism. I heared there is a corelation.

I am curious, I don't have autism. But my son do. He is genderfluid.

Have any of you heared of this?

Scientists also argue that autism is a very, very male brain, with all various strengths and weaknesses that brings.

Know best friend here (lol won't mention names) was diagnosed with Aspergers, a form of high functioning autism? Very unconnected emotionally truly a very demanding, difficult person to live with!

I have mild autism and two of my kids are diagnosed on the spectrum, one aspergers the othe medium non aspergers. It runs in both my and my wife's families.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's a high incidence of it in FTMs compared, if aspects of transsexuality are brain-dependent. More bio males than females on average have autistic spectrum disorders.

I had some of the traits as a kid. Not all but some. Was never diagnosed or taken to a doctor so I can't say for sure if it was autistic spectrum. If it was I did manage to train myself out of the traits eventually. I recall having a conversation with my mother a couple of years ago where she seemed to think she had autistic traits and that I probably had some as well as a young child.

I noticed - anecdotally - quite a few trans individuals claiming to have autistic traits or diagnosed with autism.

Personally, by the time I became fully aware of being trans (mid 30s) I don't believe I had any significant autistic-like traits left.

I have ADHD combined type with a lot of Hyperactivity and Tourette's syndrome. Also more common in AMAB. But I only scored 4 out of 30 on the Asperger/autism screening.

The doc told me "you have typical boy-ADHD" when I got my diagnoses in 2002.

That's interesting to know, especially since I received a diagnosis for autism not long ago. Granted, I'm not 100% sure if I agree with the psychologist. It has been suggested that females with autism are a lot harder to diagnose though.
Thing is I know I'm biologically female, so there might be something to it since I feel more male.
I don't know if there's a correlation or not, but it's possible.
