First off I have to say that I love this forum. Thanks to everyone who contributes.

Does anyone have experience with pierced nipples and breasts growing because of MTF HRT?
My nipples are pierced and have been for 20 plus years. I like them alot and don't plan on taking them out.

Thanks
I'm a gender confused guy who lives an hour north of Seattle.
I believe that I was influenced by DES. I have crossdressed in public a handful of times, see avatar picture (enhanced with FaceApp).
I don't plan on transitioning, no GRS, FFS, nor BA.
I consider myself TransFeminine. But reserve the right to change my mind at any time.  ;D

Most of the breast growth is in the breast gland deep under the nipple. Yes, the nipples grow somewhat, but it should not make much difference unless you get really large nipples and need a larger pin.

If you like your piercings, you should make sure that the devices stay in when your breast grows.  Otherwise there may be the chance the the holes grow shut, and it is very difficult to apply new piercings because of the limited amount of tissue of the nipples.  Scar tissue may be impossible to be pierced again.

Dani and Dietland
Thanks for you input. I don't intend to take out my rings. I was just curious as to what to expect. Thanks again.

Why wait?

I heard it could interfere with the nipple growth. Like make them grow wrong. I can't remember where I read that.

You certainly will have scar tissue developing at the piercing site.  The only thing I could think  of is that your nipples would try to turn inside (like reversing) around this scar tissue, because that tissue would not grow.

If I would be you, I would wait a little longer until your breasts are fully developed.
I personally don't understand why one would want to mutilate ones nipples to put a piece of metal through them.  My son did that long ago, and I asked him why, and he did not have an answer!

Ladies, where is your decency? ???  :P Talking like this in public!  >:-)
But the nipple play fun is not bad without such mutilations either!
If I consider that I almost fainted when I got my ears pierced, I cannot even imagine the hurt that I would have, if somebody takes a jack hammer like device, to punch a hole through my delicate nipples!

I would get my belly button pierced if I would be younger.  That skin here has hardly any pain receptors, and thus one hardly would feel anything.  But the nipples  :icon_help: :icon_blah: :icon_cry2: :icon_cry: :icon_nervious: :icon_rah: :icon_yikes:

My ear lobes hurt for days!  Each time when I forgot that I had gigantic holes drille into them, and scratched my ear, I almost died!
And if I think that the nipples are rubbing around in something all the time!!!! I could not survive this!

How does nipple piercing compare to Cartilage piercing? I got a helix in each year a few days ago. The worst part was the crunch noise of the cartilage!

Everyone was telling me how hard of a piercing it is. Is is way out of the league of loves, but overall I havent had issues. Mild discomfort when sleeping. Of course that is to be expected with a 6 month healing time.

Lacy
She believed she could so she did!

The continuing story of my new life!

Medically spoken, cartilage it self has no pain receptors. Any piecing would cause the pierced skin enveloping the cartilage to feel pin.  Piercing cartilage itself should be pretty pain free, except for the discomfort of the pressure to puncture through it.
The problem with cartilage is it's poor healing, because it has no blood supply.  This poor healing can lead to some nasty infections.
Nipples are the opposite, they have a very good blood supply (something has to make them stand up), and quite a few pain receptors (mine feel as if they are not consisting of anything else, but pain receptors), and that makes nipple piercing pretty painfull, but the blood supply helps with fast healing.
But I still don't understand why one would want to poke holes into perfectly nice nipples?

I'm getting ready to start HRT is a week or so......I want to get my nipples pierced ......Should I do it now before everything gets tender and sore or should I wait 8 or 9 months until everything settles down?

Thanks

Jenny

I don't see a problem with doing it now.  They will take a few months to heal. HRT won't cause any breast growth before that.

I would wait, because you do not know how your nipples will develop.  Depending of the development your piercings may be in an unusual location!
