I can't believe I'm out at work

This year has been a really wild ride.  This summer I was homeless, after the latest in a string of abusive relatives kicked me and my girlfriend out of the house because I'm transgender.  I got a job and an apartment in the fall, and I am now a training lead at that job.  I came out before my initial training class, and the newest recruits only know me by he/him.  I'm pre-t with no surgeries, and they do slip up and whip out the she/her maybe once a week or so, but quickly correct themselves without making a fuss.  Actually, I don't think I've been misgendered at all this week.

Honestly I think I'm still in shock at how well my life is going right now.  I've been out to coworkers for about 3 weeks and the world didn't end.  I'm still too shy to use the men's room (there's about 200 people at the site, and only 20 of them know I'm a man, haha), but I'm making progress.

How was your year?  Share something bad, something happy, something you're proud of!  ;D

KK that's awesome!!  It's good to hear when someone has things turn around and go their way.

Bathrooms...ugh  Men's room...well, the lines are shorter so that's a good thing.  And there's lots of belching and far%!$.  No eye contact or talking either. ;-)

We only have the 1 loo at work, I try to keep it tidy and always have before coming out. FFS why start another roll when there is still a 1/3rd to go and just throw the old centre on the floor.

So glad to hear your life has turned around for you! That's awesome!! Here's to another year of accomplishment and success for you and your family!! [emoji177]

This year had been a mess, but I'll deal with it. Next year should be better. Back to school, marry the only girl in the world for me, and hopefully start HRT. Hopefully I'll find a way to come out to my family (who is helping us get back in our feet) next year too.

Seems like bathrooms are the issue for everyone. I typically don't hesitate to use the women's room but I still live day to day as a guy. Well, a girl in drag lol. Still haven't figured out how to guy lol

Oh, I haven't been to the ladies yet.  Briana, are you saying I will need to look at people and possibly be ready to chat?

Great news, kk.
