so um...i'm taking quite a leap in assuming that someone out there has actually heard of the dear old granite state...u know....the one with the man of the mountain on its license plate, state quarter etc. etc. only to have it crumble to pieces...when my cousin and i were scate boarding it up in cali a family asked where i was from and when i replied i was greeted by blank stares and "oh is that in europe?" -neways i know of some support groups in nh- but seeing as to how i'm not quite a male yet or positive that that's what i want i'm wondering if anyone knows of any questioning support groups. if not that's fine...peace out cub scouts

I know the local FTM support group in my town (in California) is open and welcoming to those still uncertain and questioning, and the group includes people at many different stages of transition and pre-transition, and I'd guess that's true of many similar groups.  The best thing would be to find a contact number or email address for your local group and ask them before you go to a meeting.  I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised.

And oh, yes, I have heard of New Hampshire.   ;)

I actually just sent an email to a support group in my city that i found online.

I think most groups accept pre transition and questioning guys. Doesn't seem like a lot of post transition guys go to support groups. I know I kinda stopped. It was a 5 hour trip for me, so I don't drop in often unless I'm in the area.

Aww!  I actually thought I was going to be as of some use until I reread it and realised you were looking for support groups in California.  So now I think we have two people from New Hampshire.  Woohoo!  :D

Make that three. That subject line sure caught my attention, way up here in the boonies  :) If anyone knows of anything going on in NH, keep me posted. There used to be a group in SW region, I attended once, but they no longer exist.

I help organize Inclusive Moose, a GLBTIQS etc group that has occasional potlucks and other events, if anyone wants to be on the email list, you can sign up at the website http://inclusivemoose.org/. Tell them you found out about it here.

wow...3 of us...i'm amazed...so while in college i went to GLBTQ clubs and what not but i only met one transgender who was much older. I've been doing some research online and at the site NH Tree there were all these links to support groups in NH and other NE states. You might want to check those out. Here's the link: http://transnh.net/index.html
then just click on "local resources" at the top of the page

NH Tree hosts a yearly event in the spring, I've unfortunately never made it, always had scheduling conflict.

I used to go to that one quite a bit, but I haven't in a few months.  She is fantastic :)

Darn, I work on Tues evenings. It'd probably be done by the time I could get there...

I go to Anne's, hit or miss. I go, then don't go for a few months, then go again. It runs from 7-9 pm, but sometimes we meet for coffee after in Hooksett.

I know this is an old topic, however my schedule has recently changed and I'm planning to attend this month for the first time. If any of you are still part of this group, I look forward to meeting you there.
