Have a bunch of questions for the ones that either have experience with any of the three teams/surgeons or knowledge on the subject. For the past month or two been reading up on FFS and stuck on a few details due to being so new to HRT and unsure on some more subjective matters over objective.

I had a consult with Dr. Simon from FacialTeam December 20, 2018 (day before my 26th birthday) and he told me I don't need any hair work done, however if I wanted to I could get their hair transplant done during surgery since they're doing a coronal incision. Is this worth it? See my quote for details as it's quite a lot more than I realistically have, however I'm desperate to do whatever it takes to make this one surgery successful and pass finally. Also unsure if I'd benefit from this vs an advance if I plan to go back to short hair later or just pull back my hair in a pony tail.

Furthermore why choose FacialTeam over the other two surgeons? I'm in America so going with an American-based surgeon is preferable, however it's just him vs a team. What are some pro and cons between these three anyone can shed some insight on?

Lastly what is the big deal with Keojampa on the Facebook FFS group? Anyone know why he's rated so highly over anyone else? It's the reason I even have a consult with him in a couple weeks to at least give him a chance and see what his costs are.

More questions if I think of any, but this is what is pressing right now. See the Google album for my pics I sent to each surgeon and my quote.

FFS Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/bxQLtt96Sbw2hiVu9

Specifics:
1: HRT Date: 12/16/2018 (5 days before I turned 25)
2: The scar/swelling on my neck is from voice surgery October 24, 2018 so ignore my neck.
3: Pics sent as neutral as I could.

Looking for the following as of now:
Hair Transplant/Advance (Don't know which yet)
Type 3 Forehead (Don't know which incision yet)
Brow bossing
Rhinoplasty
Jaw contour
Sliding Genioplasty
Chin contour

Due to the incredible financial burden I'll be in I must make this one surgery successful. My goal is to simply pass and look like a girl.
Had nullification surgery by Marc Arnkoff on August 10th, 2017 at 24 which was the catalyst for me finally admitting I am trans and to start estrogen. Wish I saw this sooner but that's life. I have detailed documents on these surgeries and pictures so feel free to ask.

HRT: December 16. 2017
Adams apple surgery by Dr Haben: March 20, 2016
Nullification surgery by Dr Marc Arnkoff: August 10, 2017
Revision to bottom surgery by Dr. Garreth Warren: April 30, 2018 (Got cosmetic SRS effectively from this)
VFS (Triple) with Dr Haben: October 24, 2018
Naval removal: March 27, 2018

There's a number of good things about Facial Team. There's a huge amount of I dependant info available about them and very few complaints, so I think they are quite low risk. The aftercare is very good. They don't try to push extra procedures on you that they think you don't need, but will do them anyway if you ask - that bit worries me slightly as I'd rather have more than less. I like the coronal incision as I don't want a scar across my forehead.

I've met a number of women who had ffs with facial Team and the changes have been subtle, but the end result is female.

Maybe you could benifit from fat transfer to your lips?

I had FFS with Dr Mardirosian about 2 years ago with a coronal incision. I let the FFS heal first and then I had hair transplants with Dr M as well. After 9 months, my frontal hair line is just now grown enough to cover the incisions.

Where ever you get these procedures done, my advice is to let your scalp heal first, then get your hair transplants. Too much stress on the scalp all at once may make healing difficult and the transplanted hair may not take.

Thanks for your reply. I'm unsure what to do with the lips besides a possible upper lip lift but for now focused on the core stuff for best bang for buck. Sounds like the coronal technique is the one to go with from what I keep seeing, however is it really worth the extra expense to get the hair transplanted during surgery if I end up choosing FacialTeam?

Also if the end result is female isn't that the goal? Whatever the surgeon needs to do to make my face pass as female would be fine with me. Beyond that is optional stuff I can do on my own time.

I'm uncertain of the trade-offs of the coronal vs hairline incision given that there's so few surgeons doing coronal. I had though it was only Facial Team. No doubt surgeons doing hairline would make some argument for the benefits of doing it that way, but personally I'm really put off by the potential for hairline scarring. Plenty of women don't have an issue with it.

The advantage of doing the hair transplant with Facial Team at the same time, is that they take them from the strip of scalp they remove. It's only wasted if they don't use it. Perhaps its not as effective as doing it another time, but at least its not going to cause new damage elsewhere.

I see. Anyone else know why Keojampa is rated so highly on other places I go to and what do I gain doing it with a team vs a single person? It seems they'd be pretty even or possibly a too-many-cooks situation with a team.

I believe that Facial Team gave you a honest opinion. I believe that you should go with hairline lowering first and do the grafts if you need additional lowering, hairline corrections or scar correction. In many cases just a hairline lowering is enough in the hands of a skilled doctor. I would ad lip lift in your package. Have you also considered Dr Rossi and Dr MDM in Buenos Aires. They seem to be a safe option also.

I haven't met with these surgeons/practices and I haven't had anything comsetic done. Take my comment with a grain of salt.
I think before coming up with your own assumptions, it's best to actually have the ffs consults. You need to decide based on your impression of the surgeon(s) and your comfort and happiness with what they say.
With only meeting 1 surgeon for ffs specifically, I question 1 surgeon being able to do a full ffs personally. But it is done and very successfully too.

I think while you're shopping for surgeons, make sure you check your hormone levels and even try to switch from pills to injections if you haven't already. I'm not telling you what to do, but if you feel like you haven't changed much after 1 year on hrt then that's something that can be tweaked maybe?

I've not heard of either of them though prefer to stay in America if possible since international has other costs added like more expensive, longer flights and an area I've never been in, but I'll look into them to see. Is it even OK to do soft tissue before hard is done? FT was very against any soft tissue until hard healed.

Thanks for the honest feedback. Guess at this point I'll see how I feel after the next two consults and continue to learn more about FFS so I get a better sense what I truly want beyond the typical core stuff.

As far as HRT goes I've been on injections for a year and trying to get on 24/7 progesterone due to how it complements another med I take well. My body is very fem overall it's just above my neck that's the issue which FFS will hopefully fix. Luckily never had to ever take an AA and below cis range of T all the time with 200pg/dl estrodiol at the 3.5 day mark so overall it seems all my levels are where they should be according to my doc. As long as I pass once this is all done then the goal was accomplished.

From those who have written about their coronal incision experience, your hairline will be a little higher if you go that route.

That said, someone mentioned contacting Dr Javier Rossi & Amanda(T-Change) in Buenos Aires. He does coronal incision as well if you like. There are several patients that have posted extensively here about their experiences. It is worth the time to read them.

Per the team vs single surgeon thought. Most surgeons that I am aware of operate in teams in some capacity. For example, one Doc may focus on bone work primarily while another works with soft tissue as a specialty in addition to various assistants, nurses etc. You can ask each place you are considering how they approach surgery day. In other words, would not get hung up on the term "team".

While I can say I love Dr K's approach to things that he has posted. I do not know his costs nor have seen his before & after photos. Those are reserved for in consult only thus far. Which is great for the privacy of patients, not so great for future patients researching online.

Know this post was not an answer to your question. If anything, it just extended your search a little. However, it sounds as if you are paying cash & that warrants seeking the best possible fit with regard to results, safety & total expense. Where ever that may be.

Facial team are getting so popular at the minute. Ive seen so many before and after's  on ->-bleeped-<- and so many are dramatic changes. I think the pics I seen on transtimelines ffs from them are much better than their website pictures.
