Are women's USA shoe sizes typically 1-2 numbers higher or lower than the same size men's shoe?

I have to try all shoes on as there is too much variability between styles, make or brand, and gender.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Men's 5.5 are always a little large but they don't come any smaller than that.  So it would be +2 for me.

Add 1 1/2 to mens sizes to get women's sizes.  Higher heels may require a 1/2 size smaller than this to fit right, and all of this varies wildly by brand.

Long Tall Sally has women's boots to men's size 15. I was able to get a pair of demi boots (mid calf) for under $90. Size 14 fit me perfectly. Don't even try Pleaser boots with 5-6 inch heels. At our age it is tough enough to stand up let alone walk around in the dang things.  On the larger sizes they use male shoe lasts, which are the basic footprint for building the shoes.
Thanks! but it is really funny, I walk more comfortable and sure with block heels between 2 and 3 1/2 inches than I do on those flat penny loafers!
Who knows, I might be like Barbie, born for high heels?

I have to ask if anyone knows how to walk in high heels that don't have an ankle strap or a mary jane strap. I've tried, and I can't keep them on my feet. My heel keeps slipping out.

This is why I like my ankle booties with a heel. I don't have to worry about them falling off.

I believe that I was influenced by DES. I have crossdressed in public a handful of times, see avatar picture (enhanced with FaceApp).
I don't plan on transitioning, no GRS, FFS, nor BA.
I consider myself TransFeminine. But reserve the right to change my mind at any time.  ;D

I have a few of them, and it is really tricky to wear and walk on. First, the size of heels should fit tightly to your feet, and second they are for bare feet, not with stockings or socks. If the size is too small, then you feet will suffer a lot. If it is a little bit too big, they easily slip out. In this case, you man attach some tapes or other material within the heel.

Even the size is perfect, my feet tend to become easily tired after walking. The following is my favorite one, but not so much enjoyable. But they do look sexy.

I have ordered another similar one.

Have you ordered shoes from AliExpress before? If so, how was the quality?

I know what you mean. As a guy I'm not interested in shoes, had maybe 4 pairs all different for different things. When I started looking at shoes from a feminine perspective, I wish I could afford a lot more. So much variety and manyu styles.

Yes, I have a pair of 75mm size 7  stilettos I can easily walk around in.  I practiced first with kitten heels of the  same size and brand. Some nights they are a little tight, so I've learned to hold my toes together to improve the fit!  I always wear them with bare feet.  I think it helps that they are leather and not some sort of plastic.

I did have trouble with them coming off one of my feet, which isn't as well coordinated as the other one.  But now I don't have any problems, even when the heel catches on the edge of a area rug.

Most of items I have ordered from AliExpress are fine, but a few were not what I expected. Generally, the quality is nice if the number of orders is great and the users' feedback shows satisfactory responses.

I have several pairs of ~3" heeled pumps without straps. I wear them either bare foot in the summer or with stockings or tights in the winter. When I first started wearing them I would have problems keeping them on, my heel would lift and I would lose the shoe. Now I have no problems. Not sure how to describe it but it involves adding a bit of a bend of my toes to keep the shoe close to my heel. This is not a thought out process, just something that my foot learned so that I can wear the shoes that I love. It took a few weeks to get used to them but now it is natural.

Hope that it helps,
Tia Anne

Barbie got me really going to want to own some boots (not much time here to wear boots, because it is 85º F again).

But I wanted a pair.  I bought these, they are knee high with a 3 1/2"  heel.  I can walk pretty well in up to 4" high shoes, as long as they have a block heel!

Now I have to hope for some cooler days for me to wear them!

Those boots would be perfect for you to visit us in Colorado. It was in the teens most of the day and single digits expected tonight. Where did you find the boots?

Nice!
Thanks!  And here I sit with those boots, and can't wear them, because it will be 89 today.  Wearing boots would look a little out of place!

How tiny (short) are you girls to be able to walk through the world with those small feet?

5-5 on a good day lol. Depending on what doctor I'm at I can occasionally be 5-6

I am 6', which is rather tall for my age group.  But tall persons are very typical for  XXY chromosome conditions.  I was never really sporty, but I was liked for playing basket ball in school because of my height.   Of course, today's basketball players will dwarf me by more than a foot!

It looks like you girls never finished your carrots at the table, and that is the reason that you remained that little!  Remember, your mother told you so, but you did not want to believe it!   :police:  >:-)

My 75mm leather stilettos have molded themselves to fit my feet quite nicely.  I now have to pull them off.
