So I'm homeless. By this weekend, I will have nowhere to stay, because my lovely landlady has decided that having a TS person around is too much of a bother after all, so she's gone ahead and kicked me out. Illegally, but since she knows I've only got three months left on my visa, the dear can do so with impunity.

So my avatar pic is dedicated to her. It's a Banksy graffiti'd on a wall near where I work. If you can name the major tube station near which it resides, you get ... well nothing, except the knowledge of how unfathomably cool you are for knowing who Banksy is ...

Thanks Ell honey,

I really don't know. She waited till just after rent day to chuck me, and I'm having to find her a new tenant or she has threatened to keep my deposit as well. So until I get that back or payday ... end of the month, I'm kinda stuck. I have a friend here in London I can stay with for a few days, but he's answerable to a landlord himself, so I can't stay there indefinitely.

But I should be okay. If worst comes to worst, I should be able to go stay in a dorm-style student lodge or something for a week or two ... sharing with guys ... *shudder*

Aw, honey. Thank you. Hopefully I won't need to be a bother, but you have no idea how much that means to me.

Very warm. There may be more than one of these scattered about. Mine is in central, if that helps. ;)

This famous tubestation was also featured in a big-budget Hollywood feature film starring the world's most famous Scientologist!

Quotenah, no pebbledashing there

Forgive my utter density, but as a South African cast upon the lonely shores of foreign England... Wha?

That stinks more than I can say here :) Why are people so cruel.... I would not do that to a dog much less a person.

Hi Simone,

You should rat out your landlady.  Just make a complaint to screw her over.

    Banksy is my hero.

I have been considering that Rebis ... After I have my deposit back.

On the other hand though, do I really want to sink to her level of pettiness?

... And Banksy is my hero too.

Yes.  You do.

In your case, it would not be pettiness if you do it out of righteousness rather than vengeance.  If the woman feels she can just throw you out, then she will be telling her friends about it and other T people may get streeted.
It is an educational move.  To educate that woman and others like her that we are people and we have rights too.

If you don't do anything, that's okay too.  I'm certainly not going to try to guilt you into something you don't feel comfortable doing.  The odds of me doing it myself would be 50/50 depending upon my mood.

If Bansky were here, he'd paint a rat on her face.

My favorite Banksy is the one with the rats that says "Our time will come" or something similar.

Oh dear, that's terrible! No matter what you do, you should give her a good shouting-at, for good measure. I'm sure it can't be within the boundaries of the law either, what she did, but it's true that you might regret taking it to court after all.

In any case, I hope you'll let her know how pissed you are at her ^^'

And I hope you do find a place to sleep...gawd, but I hope you do.

Also, that art is awesome.

She's already proved that she can't be trusted.  What makes you think that once you find her a new tenant, you actually will get your deposit back?
