...cause I sure do! I particularly like cakes, cupcakes, quick breads, and blondies.I also like making mini- or bite-sized baked goods because they're always so irresistible. Sometimes, I'll even be more ambitious and make bread.

But I don't bake as much as I like to now because it is kinda weird for a guy to be baking sweets and then giving them away. And I don't want to keep baked sweets around the house because I'll gain weight! For some reason, as a woman, I think it just seems more "normal" to bake things and give them away. It's one of the activities I'm really looking forward to doing more once I transition.

Hi!
I love to bake!  I do Keto style or low carb baking.  I bake everything you mentioned and I like baking cheesecake and cookies also.

I use almond flour or coconut flour in place of regular flour.

I use Erythritol, stevia or monks fruit sugar instead of regular sugar.  I went from over 180 lbs to 145 lbs.  I love my sweets and bread though!  So I discovered low carb baking!  I use Loraine stevia dark chocolate chips for my chocolate chips.

Keep baking!!  😊

Here is my chocolate chip cookie resipie:

170 g Almond Meal (6 oz - 1 1/2 cups)
100 g Salted Butter (3.5 oz - 1/2 cup)
130 g Erythritol (SoNourished) (4.5 oz - 3/4 cup)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 large Egg (50g / 1.7 oz)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp xanthan gum (optional)
90 g Sugar Free Chocolate Chips (3oz - 3/4 cup)
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 180C (355 F). Zap the butter for 30 seconds to melt, but it shouldn't be hot.
Place the butter into a mixing bowl and beat with the erythritol. Add the vanilla and egg, mix on low for another 15 seconds exactly.
Add the almond flour, xanthan gum, baking powder and salt. Mix until well combined.
Press the dough together and remove from the bowl. Combine the chocolate chips into the dough with your hands.
Roll the dough to Make 12 balls and place on a baking tray. Bake for 10 mins.
Let them cool, and serve. Keep in an airtight container.
I've taken what others have offered, so now I'm giving back.

I don't eat much of those kind if things, but I do bake occasionally. My boyfriend loves most things sweet. I do okay with apple crisp and I am starting to work on making better pies. I do a lot of cookies over the holidays, but I make a lot more potato candy than anything. People love it and will ask for it all year but I only make it from the beginning of December until Christmas. Potato candy isn't baked in anyway though. As much as I make I only eat a few pieces of it every year, too sweet for me.

I love to cook, can be kind of ridiculous about it to be honest. Everyone thinks so because I will cook all day and forget to do anything else, if they only knew how bad I am. I lay awake at night and think of different recipes that I want to try or a completely new thing that I think will be good. Then I am all hyper until I can make it.

I would probably be just as bad about baking I guess if I ate baked stuff at all.

I do, I do!
But unfortunately my sweetheart wanted to learn how to make pie crust for the pies I made last holiday season.
I've created a monster as she has practically evicted me from MY kitchen as she pursues her new baking endeavors.
38 years, I was the only chef in the house, it has me conflicted.

I do enjoy Snickerdoodles.

As a kid, I used to live next to this woman who was always baking, and she was so damn good at it!! She'd always share her treats with us neighborhood kids, sometimes we could even smell the deliciousness in the oven from outside the house, so we'd congregate in the yard, waiting... After she moved away, I vowed to learn to bake so I could follow in her footsteps. I was a dramatic child.  :icon_redface:

I remember my sister got an Easy-Bake Oven for Christmas one year, and I was super jealous. My parents wouldn't get me one, but my sister shared hers with me, bless her heart. I think I ended up using that thing more than she did!

I really like to make Scotcheroos for family get-togethers, and I make a mean blueberry muffin.  :icon_cool:

What are some of your favorite recipes?

I do enjoy baking.  My current quest is to figure out sourdough bread.  I just mixed up my starter today so it's going to be a bit.

I have to say back when I was pretending to be a dude, people did think it was a bit unusual for me to give away treats like that (or bring them to gatherings) but they never complained.

Baking is for Sheilas, Poofters and Sissies -

I love it!!

Unfortunately my repertoire only includes simple stuff. I can pull off successful sponge cakes and Anzac Cookies though!

Yes, I not only like to bake, I LOVE TO BAKE:
Up here in the North... I bake all the time, it helps to keep my house warm...
... seriously however, I love to bake and to share my creations with my friends and also for charity bakes sales and the like.  During the Holiday season I usually bake and make Holiday treat plates to give out to those in Senior Centers or to distribute to those in need.

I do indeed like to cook breakfast, lunches, and dinners but I will save those photos for a different thread.

I like to bake cakes, cookies, candies, pastries, etc....   I also love to cook as well but I will just share a few photos of what I have baked this last 8 or 9 months.
Don't gain too much weight just looking at my following pictures.......    ;) ;) ;)
NOTE:  Once I post this, if it appears way too long I will trim it down some.
Hugs,
Danielle

I will start with my famous SnickerDoodles

Butterfly Spinkle Cutout cookies that are the favorite of my friend @Jessica

Almond-Apricot Scones

Ooooh we're doing photos?  (seriously Danielle the height of your dinner rolls makes me jealous)

These are my pet recipe chocolate chocolate chip toffee oatmeal cookies.  Super rich, chewy, and they're sure to satisfy any chocolate urge you have.

Let me know if you have questions about Sourdough. I work with a San Francisco starter though I haven't used the starter in a while. I also use a bread machine however Sourdough is a hand made only bread so bread machine bread is yeast based.

I love to bake but if I did it more I'd be as wide as I am tall.
But now old friends they're acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
Well something's lost, but something's gained
In living every day.

@JudiBlueEyes
Dear Judi:
That is exactly like I love to give much of what I bake and cook away... it could be detrimental to my figure and curve if I ate everything that I make.  Plus I do not want to buy new and larger clothes.

I enjoy baking and cooking and giving... and those that I share it with enjoy receiving..
It is a win/win.

Hugs,
Danielle

I do love my bread machine for the convenience.  This project is kind of an amusing distraction from the stress of school.  I don't have super high hopes for the local flora to make a great starter but it should prove interesting.

Worst come to worst, I can send you some of my starter. Sourdough is a day long project but it's impressive when it all comes together.
