I thought I saw a similar post on this but I can't find it so I'll start new one.

I'm 45 and have been on HRT for 10 months now. I've had some good results. One thing I would like to see is nipple and areola development. Has anyone in my age range seen increased size in either with or without progesterone? I would love to hear personal experiences on this.

58 - mine got bigger, enough to notice. Whether due to progesterone or not, I can't say. It was after I started progesterone though.

Hi Mindy,
                  I found full dose HRT with cyproterone & estrogen gel brought good nipple and areola development in 12 months. I would say double in size.

I would also love to hear first hand reports on progesterone though. I have never taken P.

I had a little size increase with estradiol valerate IM, and a lot with Prometrium. I've been on Prometrium for almost a year, estradiol for 2 1/2 years (I had a break for pre-op). They're noticeably larger than they were pre-hormones.  Your mileage may vary... I would suggest a photo diary. Changes are subtle and progress slowly.

Within the first few months of low dose Estradiol patches and spiro, I experienced larger puffy areolae.  Mine were, when I started, 1 1/4" across, they now are 1 3/4" and darker.
I would like to try progesterone, just to give my breasts the best chance in growth, but it's going to take convincing my endo to get it.

I noticed change in areola size starting around a year in. (Estrogen pellets + Spiro). I started progesterone at 18 months but by then they were already considerably larger. Yet to see changes since my orchiectomy three weeks ago. Nipple size has barely increased at all. I've been tempted to get nipple suckers to help there.

I have been on estradiol for more than two and a half years and prometrium for a year and a half. I have had some increase in breast size and fullness with the addition of the prometrium but I can not say that my nipples or areolas have increased to any noticeable extent. 

Thank you all for your replies. I am experiencing the puffy areolas. My nipples have ALWAYS been erect constantly. I'm not sure why. But it's been that way since puberty. An ex-girlfriend used to say it was because I'm always horney. [emoji50]

I can't say that either my areolas or nipples have increased in size, but I would like them to do so. My boobs have definitely gotten fuller, bigger in diameter and protrude a lot more. I'm in stealth mode, so compression under garments are a must.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing of others experiences and what worked for them.
