I confess... I received a greeting card from my mother that both made me cry and filled my sails full. In it, she called me the bravest person she has ever known and that she would always be there for me. Best of all, it was addressed to
me! I have had a lot of pleasure sharing this card with some of my co-workers.
I confess that I finally know who out'ed me to the local TV station. Regrettably, not being a fellow school employee, there is probably nothing I can legally do. But it does bring closure to that horrible day.
I confess that I had a great conversation with Fr. Joe yesterday (4/11/08) about starting an LGBT support group in my county. Rochester NY is a 90+ mile round trip. Syracuse is even farther. All roads tend to avoid my county. And, as everyone knows, I am the
only one who is LGBT in my county!

If we can save one child from committing suicide because he/she feels totally alone, it will be worth it. (And this may be the reason I am romantically uninvolved - so I can devote my time here.)
