Hello again folks! I have a question. I am involved in a little situation here that concerns all Trans people in Pinellas County (includes Largo, where Susan Stanton was fired), the most densely populated county in Florida. In late, 2007 a group of us, including gays and lesbians and Trans women introduced a proposal for an amendment to the County's HRO. It would include gender identity and expression and sexual orientation. The thing now contains only sexual orientation. The rumor is that 3 of the Commissioners are up for re-election this year, and someone has scared them out of protecting Trans. We worked just as hard on this as the gays and lesbians did, but got kicked off the train before it even went to hearing. There is a hearing on the 22nd, and I plan to be there, and to write the Commissioners before then. Any suggestions about what to say or do? I am an amateur about this...
