Your ego definitely deserved the stroking it got. That was a wonderful performance, that and the preceding tape both. The dress especially, though. Wonderful. I even re-ran the video with the sound off so I could pay more attention to it. It looked so natural, so right on you. My only quibble: the straps seem twisted. But all in all, there was nothing to cause you either shame or guilt. Congratulations.

(aside) oh dear, i can't think of an insult. how does one get an androgyne's goat?

I imagine a collar and leash would be pretty effective.  *considers possibilities* :eusa_think:

And where, pray tell, would aforementioned gap be? :icon_wink:

It is because of the (brilliant) book Animal Farm that I always associate the name Muriel with goats. My grandmother has a friend called Muriel, and all I can imagine when I hear about her is flower-chomping goats. (The goat in Animal Farm was called Muriel, by the way. It's not some random "I read Animal Farm and now think of all Muriels as goats" thing. Just in case you thought I was, you know, a little bit weird or something :icon_crazy:).

Back on the topic of gender (how melodramatically unexpected!), my brother was at work the other day, and as Mum had already dropped him off (he can't drive yet), Dad and I were figuring out who would pick him up, and Mum said to Dad, "You go have a shower [he'd just been for a run], and let him pick him up. I mean her, let her pick him up." Even though she corrected herself, it still felt *right*. I've been called "him" and "he" before - I have a name that isn't indicative of my sex, and so if people hear it but don't see me, they always seem to refer to me as "he" - and it has *always* felt more right than any female pronoun.
(I'd originally been going to share this in the "Pronoun" thread, but when I tried it came up with BIG SCARY RED writing...so sorry, but it's here instead :P).

The Cuisine of the Italian Jews, Volume II, has a Passover recipe for young goat, so if I get anyone's goat, we'll have it this weekend--unless their goose is already cooked. My daughter is a Sweeny Todd fan. She can help me. Is anyone game?

Norfolk - I nearly moved to Norwich 'stead of london for their writing course. (It's one of the best in the world oddly) They said the writing was good enough but that my previous poor degree mark implied that I might not stick through the course...so I'm here.

Damn buddy you could have been living it up within the marvolus Norfolk.. I would have chosen LONDON anyday over here!

I quite like goat. Occassionaly when I'm out shooting goats I'll get a young one and take it home. My uncle likes to make curries so I just drop it off to him. Saves me having to butcher it

They're cookies, I tell you!  Give me your address!  I'll send you some biscuits!!  ...do you think biscuits would make it in the mail?

And trojans are condoms....

always thought trojan was a funny name for a condom.

the trojan horse was designed to smuggle the little soldiers in so they could break out and infiltrate the city...which is precisely what a condom shouldn't do.

You know, I never thought of it that way, but you have an excellent point.

It's a conspiricy, they call it condom failier, I call it condom booby trap.
A shifty underhanded tactic by the religious subversives to  increase teen pregnancies as proof that family values are declining and that the end of the world is near with the fire, and brimstone, and litte red devils oh my.

(sorry, I've been working too hard and going a bit crazy  :embarrassed:)
