Hello everyone,
I am now 65 (I have no idea how that happened  :)) Looking back on life I now recognize my transgender nature has been with me since my earliest memories but like many I was unable to frame what my experience was. I went through a few years identifying as gay but it never felt right. Then years of confusion. I eventually met a wonderful woman and married we have one teenager. Our marriage is wonderful and loving. About 4 years ago I tried some herbals and then about a year ago switched to hrt. My development is going nicely. Actually just this last month I have more and more been called "mam" and when I am with my wife we have been referred to as ladies. I am thinking the hrt must be subtley changing my face and body that others see it.  I remain in somewhat male mode although I wear womens shoes, jackets, shirts, jeans and leggings most of the time. Going without a bra or camisole is not an option. Because of my love for my family I would never fully transition and my family is suppotive of my development and feminine but remaining male look. I am evolving a look that looks perfectly natural for me.
Life is the most wonderful for me as it has ever been.
Peace

This last year has been seemingly more accelerated in transition and my family acceptance. It was just last April that my wife noticed my clear nail polish commenting it was cute. Now it's transitioned to accepting it is needed to wear a bra and camisole each day due to my increasing breast size to really needing to wear foundation and makeup when going out to cover the spots forming on my face and filling in my brows. Happily my wife thinks all is wonderful as it makes me look so young. She no longer has a second thought that I shop in the women's section for my clothing.

Hello Toni,

Welcome to Susan's! Thanks so much for sharing about yourself. Like you, I have known all my life that I am trans, but I kept denying it. Now, here I am 63 years old. Your story is an inspiration to me. I do hope that we can communicate with each other in the future.   Marsha

Hello Toni, nice to meet you and to hear a brief life story that sounds so familiar to my own.  It's sounds like you have come to a very comfortable place on your journey.  I can relate to these feelings too, having a supportive wife and now several friends that are with me 100% In my transition.  I wish you the best and thank you for sharing a little about yourself here on susan's.  I do hope to hear more about you.

Warmest Regards,
Susan R🌷

Hi Toni, nice to meet you. I read your post and think you may be experiencing a bit of "male fail", where you think you might be presenting as male(ish), but others are seeing differently  :)

Best of luck as the changes unfold Toni with your family, and friendly wave from here....

Hugs

Thankyou everyone for your comments, observations and support. Thanks Susan, I am a little shy to share about myself especially the everyday stuff which I think maybe is not interesting to anyone. Thanks for your encouragement to share. I like your term "male fail" CynthiaAnn. Perhaps it is something like that. My appearance to my eyes is subtle although my "subtle" has evolved ever more feminine so that I suspect that for those who do not see me often would be surprised at my changes.
Thanks again to everyone
I wish you happiness.
