So, I found myself later in life than many but now
I'm just me and it's wonderful to be complete!
I transitioned full time MTF some 19 months ago and every day is amazing!
I'm 58 now and live in Manchester, England which is pretty trans-friendly!
I'm looking forward to sharing thoughts, challenges, experiences and perspectives!
Pammie.  Xxx

The picture that you included of yourself is very lovely, and I am glad to see that you have included details about your full-time coming-out as well.

Please continue to post and mutually share with others your comments and thoughts on the forums.  There is no doubt in my mind that you will meet and befriend many like-minded members here.

Hugs and again, Welcome to Susan's Place...

Hi Pamela Alice,
I transitioned late in life too. 54 years of hiding and denial was long enough and then some for me. I was 58 when I start living my life without that male mask. I've so enjoyed being me for the last 10 years. But when we were growing up no one knew about transgender people. I thought I was alone but then I found Susan's and made friends with other transgender people. The people on Susan's were there for me when I needed support and for that I am very thankful. Now I leader a local trans-group it a part of Transgender Michigan and I'm involved in two other LGBT+ groups. Oh I live in Michigan in the Port Huron area. It's not really trans-friendly but we are changing that.
This is getting long Anyway I just wanted to say hi and welcome.

Hi Pammie, and nice to meet you. I just found your intro post and enjoyed catching up. Was in Manchester back in 2004 for a business trip. I did enjoy walking about the Salford Quays and the area, met very nice people there. I began my transition in 2010, and it's been very enriching, I can tell by your smile, it's the same for you.

I look forward to reading more of your posts and welcome here at Susan's  :)

Hugs

Hi Pamela!

I was in Manchester in 2003 and like most larger cities, people just pretty much ignored me and my girlfriend and we went about our business.  Unfortunately, the closest laser tech to her was in Manchester, which was quite the train ride, but I'm glad I was able to visit there.

She lived in the Blackpool area.
2003-2004 -- Gradual transition -- I didn't correct pronouns and people basically settled on the right ones on their own.
late 2004 -- Orchiectomy.
Late 2015 -- Stupidly saw the political climate and spurned on by my husband's request for a divorce I detransitioned.
2019 -- Rebuilding my wardrobe so I can retransition.  Turns out I cain't bury my true self, after all.  I call these last few years my failed experiment.  At least I found my true feelings were real.

Hi Tribble,
Manchester is a pretty trans friendly city but back in 2003 that was pretty good!
Where are you now?
