I am inspired by the grace under fire and level-headedness that the victim, Julia, has shown in the face of these heinous attacks. So strong!

Politically incorrect as it may be, I wonder to what extent the changing demographic in Paris was a factor.

I'm glad that she's ok. Some people can be awful :(... This just reminds me of the importance of passing, yes a lot of our brothers and sisters do not pass and have to learn to live this way, and in a perfect society the way we look wouldn't matter. But sadly, passing means more safety than being visibly trans. And I want that security in my life.
Latina :) I speak Spanish, English and a bit of Portuguese.

I think it's more important for people to show respect for everyone than it is for us to hide well.

I agree. But sadly, we're far from that.

I read two Australian newspapers every day and never saw this anywhere inside them!
Disgusting how injustice against trans people is ignored >:(

"Julia—was making her way through a crowd at a protest against Algeria's president in Place de la République when the attack occurred"

Could have been much worse.
