Construction of new facilities should reflect majority sentiments

"The Student Centers Board of Directors voted in favor of an initiative
to bring unisex bathrooms to Talley Student Center's basement in a
meeting Monday. The proposal to increase the number of unisex
bathrooms has been on the table for almost two years now, and the
research efforts of three students in Janet Hudson's "Communication
for Engineering and Technology"

Actually, the unisex restrooms are in the best interest of anyone for another reason: some men and women would feel uncomfortable seeing TSs in their respective bathrooms, so it's a policy that protects everyone.

You can't strictly cater to immediate needs of the majority.  People have to consider the impact of their decisions on minorities, no matter how small or "vocal" ( ) they may be.

I would hate to see a policy where transgendered and transsexual people are forced into unisex bathrooms, especially if the general public may also use such bathrooms, and if those bathrooms are terribly inadequite for the demand. (e.g. single room bathroom)

I'd rather just see the "man" "woman" signs come off of existing bathrooms.
