Hello family,

My name is Lisa. I am turning 42.  I have identified as  transgender at 7 and transitioned when I was 23. I am a mother of a 2 year old through surrogacy and have been married for 9 years. In my 20s I have devoted my life into helping local organizations run programs that help my the LGBT community. I'm still somewhat in the industry but have focused so much more in my other passions in life such as travel (45 countries around my belt), dance, a profession that gave a different outlook of who I am in the larger scope of things and finding my inner self. I am and still actively learning about me.
.
Twenty years ago, resources were limited. I am so happy to see this forum and I commend the folks that help put this together and keeps it running.

Looking forward to learning from you all.

Hi Lisa,
Your story is amazing to me.
Thanks for stopping in
Crossdressed as small child. Told parents, then hid it.
1980s-2010s Alternately "out" to varying degrees and/or outright denial and man-faking
2015 Surrendered/allowed my she-self to show more outwardly. Changes begin.
Currently working with counselor. No HRT or surgeries yet.

Welcome Lisa! We are so happy to have you here. Thank you for joining us and sharing your experience with those of us just getting started. We're looking forward to learning from you as well!

What you had to endure 20 years ago is likely more than I could have dealt with. The strength required to transition back then is more than I could have mustered. It's why I waited 50 years.

Again welcome! I look forward to reading your insights.

Stephanie
