Was willing to place a face pic of myself here, but then realized that others who are not actual members
can still see all posts regardless if they cannot post themselves. Just take privacy seriously, especially online. x

It's a great point.

And, have you ever gone out in public dressed the way you might be in the picture? If so, anyone could have taken a picture of you and posted it on the Internet. Since your name here is not your actual name, the search to find you would have to rely on facial recognition in both cases. And, in both cases, it would be a tough find...

And, safe is much better than sorry...

Hello everybody, this is my first post.

I've known of this site for a long time, and have used it as a resource for some time now, even before beginning my transition. Only now have I worked up the courage to join.

I'm 28, and I guess you could say I've been transitioning in earnest since November, that was when I started my HRT. But, out of fear (I live in an extremely small, extremely conservative Southern town), I haven't begun the next steps in my transition until just lately. Nature forced my hand: Things are changing physically, and fast. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it caught me off guard. I figured I'd have more time to prepare.

On to the point of the topic. Up until very, very recently I've been terrified of makeup, the clothes, etc, because I really don't feel I pass very well yet. I've been watching a lot of tutorials the last week or so that have helped out tremendously with the makeup. Physically, I just have to wait for things to run their course.

Anyway, outside opinions are always welcome. What do you ladies think?

This is like my third time doing my own makeup. The first few times I ended up looking like a drag queen (too much RuPaul, lol), whick while fine, wasn't the goal. This time I played it simple. I also didn't do anything with my hair. It's so curly it's just losing battle. Was trying to grow it back out, but it just constantly a pain. Probably gonna go for a Pink-esque faux-hawk or something soon.

EDIT. Well, the image wouldn't work, cause I'm new I guess, so here's a link:

First time i've ever worn makeup, I let my mom put it on for me, what does everyone think?
Also I started LHR on my face again, I have less expenses in other areas now, so I can afford it now

Mom did a great job!  Now smile, you look really good!   And congratulations on re-starting the hair removal.  It takes a while, is not comfortable, but is SO worth it in the long run.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Can I borrow your mom to do my makeup?

You look beautiful, just a little more smiling to be a real pretty looking, friendly girl!

This was taken the same week as my Susan's profile picture.  I was in Las Vegas.  I was going to work out in the hotel gym.  My real hair still needs to grow.

Julie, I just love your new avatar but I would never have recognized the photo you posted. I asked Deb who it was and she stared for a minute and the saw you in it.

See you in a couple of weeks girl but you may need to come up and visit us, not sure when I will be comfortable being out and about.

Kate,  Thanks.  Its that early morning bed hair.  Unfortunately mine looks like a flamingo, and it is irritating.  LOL.

Tia,  Just let me know the date and time and I'll be at your house.  Can't wait to see you two.  Rest up!!

First wig ever today.  And a tiny bit of makeup.

I know about my eyebrows, but otherwise, how am I?
