Feeling a little let down

A few days ago I posted a question about something that was of concern for me.  One member posted some encouraging comments but no one bothered to actually answer or address the question.  I see 100+ people read it but apparently it was not as important as what you gave your trans granny or what everyone is eating for dinner.

I didn't experience what you were describing in the boob shape thread so I didn't comment on it.

It is always disappointing when a post doesn't get the attention we hope for.

You asked if anyone had experienced the situation you described.  I think the lack of response indicates that the answer is no, no one else has experienced it.

Our bodies are all unique.

I can appreciate your point.  I can't intelligently answer questions about GRS as I am nowhere near that step and likely never will be. So any answer I give would be speculation at best.  Perhaps my expectations were too high but I thought there were more than a few folk here doing HRT and finding complete silence about the concern I expressed was disconcerting.

I appreciate your response.  Thank you,

Bea

I understand we are unique.  Even if ten out of the one hundred answered and indicated that their experience was different that would have told me something of value.

Again, I appreciate your answer and time,

Bea

@Bea1968
Dear Bea:
I indeed saw your "Breast Shape" thread and saw the reply that member @KristySimsx  gave to you with her suggestions and thoughts.
The probable reason that you did not get a lot more replies is that what you asked about may relate to how long you have been on HRT as KristySimsx suggested and also your weight, BMI, a percentage of body fat and the fact that you had also mentioned that you were planning to see a Plastic Surgeon about this issue.
Seemingly not many here on the forums are familiar with what you described plus no one here is apt to make uniformed guesses about things that your Plastic Surgeon or your other doctor would be more likely to give you a medically correct answer about.

Please don't feel down about things like this.  All of the members here have their own unique things that they are dealing with in their HRT transition and unless they would have something intelligent to contribute they may just read your post and move on.
Regarding your statement:  "I see 100+ people read it but apparently it was not as important as what you gave your trans granny or what everyone is eating for dinner."
Please know what you posted is indeed important ... and to some members, their trans-granny or what is being eaten for dinner may be important to them at the moment.

For the convenience of others reading your thread now....
I have included a LINK to your original post/comment on your previous  "Breast Shape" thread below...  perhaps the additional exposure of your question may garner new salient replies.

Best Wishes to you.  Please keep us up to date with any answers you may obtain from your doctors.
Danielle

I have moderate breast growth so far but the shape seems hampered by fatty growth on my torso just below my armpits.  With this growth the size/shape of my breasts seem camouflaged by this wrap around flab.  I'm thinking of asking a plastic surgeon about removing that flab on the side so my breasts have better definition.  Has anyone else experienced somethings similar?

Thanks,

Bea

Old hand here. I've made posts that go untouched for months. Then someone will reply, and the thread comes to life. It's just the way forums are.

We're normal people at the end of the day. We do the food and games posts because that's how normal people unwind. Life isn't always about the transgender stuff, sometimes you need to talk about the awesome meatloaf you just made.  :)

Devlyn, I appreciate the social aspect of this forum.  It has a place and a purpose no doubt. I enjoy the lighthearted banter but I joined Susan's Place because I was looking for online support and maybe this forum just isn't that place to fill that need for me.

Danielle, I appreciate your comments and repost as well.  I appreciate Kristysimsx advice on the side topic of seeing a plastic surgeon.  It just felt lonely and sad being left hanging on the question of whether or not what I was experiencing was common, unique or something in the middle.

Best regards,

Bea

Megan.

Bea,

I've only just seen this thread.

I'll say that I have a similar problem. Weight gain over the last couple of years has certainly see some go to the area under my arms. Some Cis gender women do suffer the same issue.

You mention surgery, but I've been starting to look at Coolsculpting as a low-risk way to possibly address the issue.

In my case, weight loss should be and is the first step to improve/reduce the problem.

If you've been on HRT for at least 2-3 years, and your BMI and body fat ration are low, then cosmetic treatments are an option if this is something troubling you, but these do all come with some form of risk.
