KOOVAGAM: "HOW did you find out about our village," asks Prabhakaran curiously.

The Plus Two student has rarely travelled out of Koovagam and was stunned to learn that his village had been written about across the world for its annual Chitrai festival, where the transgender and gay community congregate.

The article said something about "gay and transgender" but wasn't at all clear what the whole thing was actually about. Very poor writing, left me wondering what any of it had to do with anything.
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride
